Personally, I like it.

Games workshop games used to have a lot more humour in them (eg, Squats, Blood Bowl, shampoo bottle tanks) and a lot of people take some things far too seriously.

Personally I think the model looks funny as is, and would bring entertainment to the field. Fun is good.

It's interesting, the overall proportions look pretty consistent if rather stunted. I think you could give him a beard and call him a Squat.

Still don't like the shoulderpad. But it has painted up well as I thought it would. The snow on the base suits it just right, it's a nice figure - a ratling roughrider.

I dont understand why so many people were such blatant DICKS about your conversion. IMO you CANNOT say "hey im sorry but it looks like crap" without sounding like an ass.
Personally I think those are really cool. everything on them is different from the norm and i like it. personally Ive always hated rough riders but yours actually look like they could do some damage. nice job!

It does look pretty good painted up, but I'm still with the crowd that's not particularly fond of the shoulderhelmet. You said you liked the idea of it being like a bike helmet - what about trimming it back to a point in the back? I think that might help it.

I think it looks great and the first thing I thought was, "Cool! Squat cavalry!" Admittedly, after seeing the unpainted photos, it looked a little awkward and disproportioned, but looks great painted. I agree with some of the other posters and think the helmet edge should be shaved off or puttied into something different, but that's the only criticism I have. Make more!

You could solve a good bit of the kitbash image by filing down the shoulder pad helmet. The ridge on the pad needs to be filed off and the pad tapered near the back. As it is now it is just too obvious. The Chain lance could be neater but it is an interesting start. First off, the mould lines. Fix this while you are dealing with the helmet-pad. Second, the lance isn't long enough for where he is holding it. Have the chain-lance horizontal and extend the handle behind the rider, with something heavy and substantial as a counter balance.

Edit: Those shields are ace. Don't change them.

@kingcracker: dont worry about it , there is no problem about that . All comments are important for me , or else i wouldnt have switch the halberd after i realizing the 2 arms size do differ too much.

@Agamemnon2 yes its SD ( super deformed ) something that occures in anime often xD
That reminds me, as soon as i find some playdough,
making SD Tyranids next.

@username the head is converted from tank crew head. I sort of shaved it into an optimus prime shaped mask.

I will definitely try trimming the shoulder, my last attempt failed rather miserably ^^:

I use a handheld dremel when I have this sort of thing. It makes some projects significantly easier.

People generally want to know what people think is wrong with their figures or what other people think about a certain cconversion, pose, weapon, etc...

Only thing people could do better (myself included) is be kinder when handing down the criticisms.
