The book Xenology goes into the Eldar anatomy and also mentions the multiple phase conception theory. So Eldar baby-making is a long and complicated process. I'm not as keen on Elder fluff, but that "Slaanesh eatin our soulz" thing might be a good reason for abstinence. Be it for lack of souls or an unwillingness to bring Eldar babies into the grimdark.

That Eldar/human Ultramarine is definately ancient fluff and no longer canon. That abomination wouldn't last a second in today's grimdark. Gw hasn't tried anything like that in a long time. So that coupled with the complicated reproduction process makes me think a hybrid couldn't even happen.

Just remember not all eldar are going quietly into the night. Biel-Tan are constantly rebuilding and salvaging whats left of eldar maiden worlds and resources in an attempt to make a new empire. but as others have said. Long lifespan = slower maturation. Meaning some eldar families might produce a handful of adults every few hundred years. Coupled up with such large numbers who dedicate themselves to an aspect or become rangers. Plus how they even have to sacrifice their own people sometimes. It all transpires to keep them becoming too populous.

Dark Eldar though are more populous ( the majority who survived the fall became the Dark Eldar ). But their infighting means only the most ruthless and cunning will survive Commoragh.

QFT. Also I'd like to think that without the strick societal laws and the path, dark eldar are free to procreate as much as they want resulting in a higher populous. idk just a thought.

Oh, and half elves would be heresy. I'm sure they would be killed by the natives before the inquisition could get to it. Neither race likes each other. In dungeons and dragons, they at least maintain a vague friendship, which allows "half-anythings" to exist (except half-demons, since that would be wrong.). In the grimdark of the 41st millennium, people are too crazy.

But I digress. I believe they have some way of reproducing that doesn't directly involve sex. Like, they throw genetic material into a cauldron, speak magic words, and a baby pops out
