as I don't play 40k I'm curious as to why they're there.

Because there's nothing to suggest that they would be, unless you're thinking of older style 'dexes.
You need a Farseer to take Warlock Squad. You don't necessarily need one to have a Warlock leading a Guardian Squad, for example, but they DO use the wargear options / point costs for wargear... Except for the Jetbike Guardian 'Lock, who already has the jetbike points added to his cost.

Yup, thanks. I'm trying to avoid numbers as much as possible for these short
articles as they're meant to be pseudo references. At some point, you should
get the feeling that you want to look at the codex.
