Autarch began. Not knowing much about the game, mostly just have
truncated descriptions of the model. These are mostly objective
encyclopedic style things that eventually should contain certain things. Still
working out format of individual entries.

Gleaned some info on the Autarch from the tactics (thanks for fixing Search, Lego). Not
sure how accurate I'm being, but doing what I can.

Some stuff put into the Strengths and Weaknesses of the Avatar. Again,
I'm going at this academically as I haven't played the game. Working things
out a bit for myself and a bit from the various discussions on the forums. If I
put up something incorrect, feel free to edit it yourself or discuss it here. These
entries are mainly supposed to objective, however, so debates about "best" setup
should be left to more subjective tacticas.

I added a few additions to the existing enteries. The bullet point format that's currently being used makes things easy to read but limits long explination a bit.

Thanks. Yes, I agree, but perhaps that's the job of full articles rather than
individual unit entries.

Warlocks and Farseer entries added.

Questions:

Are Warlocks spiritseers for free or do you upgrade them? Confused by the
Codex entry on them (both of them!)

I forget, but what do Witchblades actually do (other than excite boners in
comic book geeks)? I'm looking for descriptions that aren't word for word
rulebook entries (in case you're wondering about my vague enough wording)

They would anything on a 2+ and against vehicles the STR is a 9

You pay to upgrade them. All they get is the 12" Wraithsight rule. And more awesome.

Witchblades, as described in the main rule book are a single handed close combat weapon that wounds on 2+ and is S9 vs vehicles. No instant death, does not ignore armour saves.

A Singing Spear is the same only you can throw it. Two handed so only one attack in close combat or two on the charge. Prince Yriel has a Singing Spear that ignore armour saves. No bonus attack.

Eldrad's thing is a staff. 2+, no save. I do not know if you get +1 attack you could check the Adepticon FAQ. Warseer's thing (which came up in Google) says yes, just because. I would say no, just to be awesome.

This is meant to be encyclopedic. When this is done, anytime you want to link to a unit all
you have to do is type [[]] around the proper name and you'll be taken to the article. So if
you wanted to post your army profile and include an army list, then if you put

[[Autarch]]

in your army list, it would turn into a link.

Of course, this requires a kind of control in the way you name things, which I'm trying to
control on my end. The Warmachine articles are similar, except you see me adding the words
unit and warjack at the end of unit names in order to differentiate them from possible 40k and
Fantasy items (GW stuff should have priority on Dakka, after all).

"uhhhhh"

Autarch's take on Exarch skills of the unit they join. That, and the Shuriken Pistol is a close combat weapon.

Make sure you catch the Fire Dragon and Support Weapon section of my own there are some tricky parts. Crack Shot flamer. oooo.

From the FAQ, if an Autarch joins a Warp Spider Surprise Assault squad it can deepstrike. But there is no other mention. So ... I was wrong. My bad.

No you're right. In the front-ish of the codex before any of the unit descriptions there is a rule stating that exarch special rules apply only to Autarchs that join a unit.

While it doesn't explicity state that Autarchs joining the unit get the Exarch's ability (it more of denies that Farseers joining a unit can gain the ability), it is pretty clear that is the intention of the rule is that Autarchs joining an Aspect unit benefit from the Exarch's ability if applicable.

Question:

Someone said that there was a Forgeworld update. Is that snark about
the model, or did Forgeworld create something special for Avatars?

Looking at the various rules and p. 21, I'm guessing that the following do not apply to the Autarch:

Crack Shot
Fast Shot
Shadowstrike

The first two affect the Exarch only, and the last one is explicitly denied to the Autarch.
