The warlocks form a separate group in close combat, so the farseer can be singled out.

Only the farseer has a rerollable 3+... right?

For every farseer in your army, you can take a council squad.

"This unit and the farseer are a single HQ choice"

It doesnt mention anything akin to being a retinue squad, Id suggest no, an eldar player would not be able to allocate wounds freely.

The farseer has a 4+ inv as do the warlocks.. they also get granted a 3+ armor save, twin-linked shuri cats and +1 non-ID T bonous. - From the eldar jetbikes.

If the farseer casts fortune on her squad then " This unit can re-roll any failed saves it makes until the start of the next Eldar turn"

Eldar Jetbike == 3+ Armor save. Both Farseers & Warlocks have an innate 4+ invulnerable save. So, when Fortuned, the whole unit has 3+/4+, rerollable.

Yes they can reroll a 3+ against stuff like boltguns but not against stuff like meltaguns (unless they turbo boosted), power fists and thunder hammers.

: )

I think you are missing the point Blow Fly, Against AP 3 and better weapons they get a rerollable 4+ inv save. So they shrug off 75% of wounds from "stuff like meltaguns (unless they turbo boosted), power fists and thunder hammers. "

hmm.. if a FNP roll counts as a save then that could be re-rolled also. If. Could make the idea of Fuegan & a farseer et al a possibility.

The orks get a rerollable 4+ save versus witchblades and Space Marines get a 3+ save with a 4+ FNP save against stuff like boltguns. The eldar have the best rerollable save in general but the orks' and Space Marines' rerollable save is still quite helpful. The orks and Space Marines are both T5/(4) versus the eldar T4/(3) and that should be taken into account as well. I see the eldar as having an edge when shot at by guns that ignore armor saves but are about even when shot at by guns that allow an armor save. Let's run some math hammer:

Warlock shot at by rapid firing boltgun...

Assume both shots hit, one wounds and the warlock makes his save

An ork is shot at by the same gun and now there is less chance he will be wounded and should still make his save... Same odds versus Space Marine.
