Thats one hell of a graph for all the ages, im just outside of average being the ripe old age of 24. Though i started when i was 11

Odd spikes in there. Every couple years seem to drop off, then a spike, then a couple year drop off.

I passed the "average" almost 6 years ago. I'm getting dangerously close to being old. At least in body. My mind refuses to get much past the 18-21 range...

Woot! Recognition.

What can I say, his art 'sings' to me (and the fact that he used to do illos for playboy back in the day - when it actually WAS bought for articles).

I'm betting the median age is up around 27 or so, though also.

Almost double the mean age. It would be interesting to see a 'when you started gaming' graph if there were stats for it. I'm in my 30th year of gaming!

I've got miniatures older than most of my clubmates (I've got mins older than me, too. Grandad's Redcoats in 54mm).

Avalon Hill (D-Day and Tobruk) with the old man in the late 70's. Then got hit with the D&D bug in '80. Still have my first set of minis: Grenadier Models Wizards boxed set. Painted them all up in a week (had a half page of instructions, and the dullcoat leaked on them); still have them in the original box. Getting all nastolgic, now.

Sorry for the threadjack. Now, back to the topic at hand.

+1 for the 23 crowd. Its good to see an older demographic although im not sure why, perhaps it brings maturity *laughs* to the hobby

Guess its like computer gaming, were its seen as a childs hobby but the figure show its not (average age is 27 I think oddly enough)

I wonder what I put in, I know it`s for statistics but I NEVER give out my real DOB if I can help it, along with SS# it`s one of the key bits people need for identity theft.

A simple year of birth field would be fine.

Sweet I, too, couldn't help but notice that it was the mode that was 23, and the mean (average) would be something else

Being 25... this means I'm still below average, w00t =) Just like school...

Don't know about anyone else, but I am one of the 59 year olds and will be 60 later in 2009. I have been gaming for a long time in several game systems. Games are to have fun, and that is why I play.

So as one of the Old Guys, play and have fun.

The only reason DOB is there is so that we can send out private happy birthday messages or gifts if I ever get around to implementing it. Entering a day or two off the real day is usually a good idea. The other bit of info lots of places want is your mother's maiden name, for which I find giving 'f**kyou' quite fun, especially if you have to verify it over the phone to someone.

Assuming you mean what I think you mean, it is as shown in the diagram: 11-59. There are a few people claiming to be over a thousand years old, and a few under 6 but I discounted them and went from 1940-2000 for the data.

Dirt has a life cycle of 32 years. If your over 32, you're older than dirt.

I, then, am just a wee bit older than dirt.
