The land of cotton.

Very nice. I like the use of rivets and the use of the Land Raider engine. It's certainly a unique and impressive piece.

The one feedback I'd offer is that it's almost TOO nice. It's lacking the certain Ramshackle feel that 5th edition Orks have grown into. There is a certain throwback feel to it that reminds me of older Ork designs. Not that this is a bad thing if you are going for a theme.

All in all, jobs a very good 'un!

It's so neat and tidy...and perfect! You'd think that perhaps orks couldn't do that. If you build another, I'd suggest making the armour plating a little more lopsided, to add to the orky effect.
Nice work

That's pretty ill. It's always bothered me that every ork mob in the galaxy seems to have constructed identical piles of scrap. Standard Orky Template Construction perhaps?

Looks awesome. Dirty it up.

Ta for the comments.

Yeah, designwise I went for a very 'solid' look - personally I don't like the 'falling to bits' look, to me orks build incredibly ugly but extremely sturdy machines that will offend any non-ork mechanic but will nevertheless work well and be hard to damage. And I also wanted the Loota theme - my mekaniaks are cheerfully recycling useful bits out of anything they find on the battlefield.

The rivets are 'shaved' carefully off spare random kit bits, old Necromunda and CoD terrain, basicly anything with rivets on it - works well for providing nice uneven rivets, which always seems orky to me.

The painting was mostly based with Mechrite Red, drybrushed with lighter reds and tans, then grubbied down with lots of washes. The bare rusty metal is Scorched Brown drybrushed with lighter rusty browns, also heavily washed. It actually looks grubbier in the flesh than in the photos.

Now to find time to paint my 4-tracked battlewagon! :(

I like your approach Clang, it really makes for a good-looking battlewagon: crude, probably unsafe, definitely not user-friendly, but robust, highly individual, and highly effective.
