Hmmm, I kinda like Captain Shrike's idea...I'm definately gonna be getting some of those injured/dead Space Marine minis though, probably gonna use em in the base.

I say you take a big spherical or ovular object and crack it open (like an eggshell) and put a bunch of hot-glue goo everywhere so it looks like it just emerged from a landed Mycetic Spore and is commencing with the ass-kickery.

Maybe a grassy base with a gooey rut leading to the back of the base where the Spore landed. Kinda like a groove the Spore made along the ground until its final resting place at the back of the base.

Epic basing for an epic model.

Putting Guard (or other models) on the base will look out of place if you're fighting, say, Eldar.

well the base would only be for display purposes. Using a Hierophant with a base at all wouldn't really work as it would be nearly impossible to move it around with lots of models or terrain on the field. I'm going to make something to support it so i can use it. The legs are too spindly to support it's weight and they break easy if not helped out by something. But I do like the spore idea.

You should get a single enemy infantry from every army, and make it so you can swap out the running enemy for who you are fighting :p Haha

I love that idea. You could use transparent resin with food colouring to match your paint scheme for the goop. I think it would look brilliant if the hierophant also had a load of the mycetic spore goop dripping from its torso, clinging between the segments of the legs etc.

Ya I'm kinda liking that idea actually. Not sure how to get it to match my paint scheme tho. (Red Gore and Midnight Blue)
