Nope never, because nobody believes anything in forums on the interwebs.

Actually I'd like to see a pic from Gavin with the tab displayed. It even probably has the year on it.

The fact that he has the model in his collection doesn't automatically make it a GW model I've bought bundles of models in the past that have included models from other ranges.

I'm still dubious, to be honest. The face is all wrong for an RT-era Ork, the body proportions don't look right, and the detail (what can be made out through the paint) looks too sloppy.

If it's GW, it looks far more like something pre-RT... but then it wouldn't have had a slotta tab.

I could be wrong... I don't have a photographic memory of GW's entire range ever... but this just doesn't look GW to me.

I'm with Insaniak on this one. I've never seen it on SoL or in any of the old GW Catalogues, the face is all wrong(too wide, teeth too small), the proportions are all wrong(even for GW, especially the right hand), and that bionic hand/Klaw doesn't look remotely reminiscent of any hand-shaped bionics/Klaws that GW has done for Orks(even in RT).

My advice? Play it safe and replace the model when playing at GW events/stores.

Who is Gavin Thorne, exactly? I know that GW employeed a GavinThorpe previously, but unless I've missed something in my 13 years of playing GW games, Gavin Thorne is just some dude on Dakka with a similar name.

You can never beat your first time. The second generation is shinier, stronger, faster and superior in every regard save one, and it's an unfair criticism to level, but it simply can't be as original. - Andy Chambers, on the evolution of Games Workshop games

Without out wanting to showing disrespect, he could be mistaken. I've never seen it before and nor have a number of other people. A picture in a catalogue would be ideal.

Well, to be brutally honest, it is a plug ugly model.

I'd probably do one of the following:

* Shell out the cash for a new model

* Remove him from your army and use the extra points to paint a gretchin red or something

* No-one in the store would have problems believing that you greenstuffed him - very poorly

He burns my eyes!

Actually a lot of the free booterz models were armless with separate arms. So those arms could be from anything.

Except the OP has already said that the models arms are sculpted onto the model, not separate.

Guys, tallmantin is right, its just a ugly model and it shouldnt be used in anyones army. Its just really, really ugly.

"I.. I know my time has come" Tethesis said with a gasp, a torrent of blood flowing from his lips.
"No! Hang on brother!!" Altharius could feel the warmth slip away from his dear sibling's hands

Tethesis's reached out his bloodied arm to Altharius's face.
"I..I have one final request"
Altharius leaned close to listen, tears welling in his once bright eyes.
"make sure th..they put my soulstone in a tank... it'll be... real fethin' cool"
"Yes, you're gonna be the most fethin' cool tank!!" burning hot tears streaked down Altharius's face, as he held his brother's soul in his grasp.
