As promised, here's the pictures: Lots of work still needs to be done :(
First off, the Cyclops' from Forgeworld. Wow... they are COOL! Love the way they look and will be fantastic "legs" for the obliterator conversions. So much detail. They look great.
UGH, the dreaded pentient engine / daemon prince conversion... all metal kit. Bleh, not looking foward to this, but have the techpriests who'll be piloting it, still working out the Monsterous Creature Close Combat Weapon counts-as .... still leaning towards "large grabber" but at least the Last of submission is figured. Tractor / Force beam, modeled as a satalite dish kinda thing.
REALLY happy how these guys came out. They will count-as Plague Marines. Still have to glue on the arms but love the way these models look. The Plague Marine Champion came out SWEET. Love how it fits right in with the rest of the group, but with the "power fist" back pack in place will stand out as the champ. Also fell in love with these new Washes. wow.. NEVER have I done skin so well. wow.... Its not too great a shot, but you can see my Greenstuff hood conversion in the background. Shouldn't of used the head with a protrusion, as the hood just looks lumpy but oh well. My 2nd hood came out much better... will you be able to spot it?
Squad two: Champ has a blue eye... ooooo.
Squad painting is almost done. (well... 3rd squad is on the way, so... ALMOST done) Everything will get a badab black wash to tone down the white and red gore a bit.
First Rhino is primered and getting its red foundation on it..... still haven't figured its final Mechanicus paint scheme yet...
Oh, here's my first guy. The Tester, if you will, he's improved since the beginning of this post I think.
Oh, the bases will be painted grey with the city-fight gravel on it. So the black/metallic under armor should show much better.
As my next job assignment isn't until thursday, I hope to pump out some gaming work in the next few days. Stay tuned!
