Thanks for all the compliments, it's encouraged me to get my butt moving on finishing the army. My current goal is to have 1000 points painted by the end of the summer.

Da' Broodboss is painted and ready to go. I'm still working on my Hormygrunts (got 6 assembled & 4 partially painted) and some Rippa Grot swarms(using plastic gretchin as the base for the mods). I've got a pair of Carnifex legs coming which I plan on using to finish up my Carnymek. Eventually, I'll be modding a squad of plastic Nobs into Nob Warriors- that'll probably come once I finish out 20 Hormygrunts. I do plan on a Zoeytroop eventually- I picture a big Zoantrope head on a gobbo with a gretchen behind to hold up his massive cranium.


I'm getting a new camera this weekend, so hopefully new (and clearer) pictures will follow soon after. Thanks again for the support and criticism- it's greatly appreciated!

Really nice green stuff work on them, they look very natural, not like kitbashes.

Motivates me to get going on my gene stealer cult again.

Finally got some more done. Up to 500 points assembled, now to paint them. Completing the Carnymek ended up taking alot more time than I had anticipated (and I'm still not completely satisfied- I'll have to fix my mistakes on the next one )

Extremely awesome! It's a shame you are on the "wrong" side of the atlantic, because I love play against those!

I plan on making more Carnymeks eventually, but have some other ideas I'd like to try first (the army is definitely more focused towards having fun making some unusual conversions than it is towards winning- I hope to be competitive, but seeing as I tend to lose with my optimized marines...). Future ones will likely be completely different- like the suggestion someone posted of having grots riding a "scavenged" carnifex. Got some ideas for that...

Next goal is finishing off 30 hybrid Hormygrunts (or "Ornerygrunts"), while making some more Ripper Grots and Warrior Nobs in between (got a plan for winged Warriors with stormboy rokkit packs in place of wings). I want to eventually do some Ravener conversions, too (thinking boys with shovels in their extra hands- maybe some miners' helmets)
