Not to make him feel bad but to give him something hard to kill. I couldve played something I knew he would roll over, but I chose an army that made him make critical decisions rather than steamroll, and he chose poorly at each time.

But that was the point, learn and get better.

Getting my broom incase there is shenanigans.

Orks made several mistakes, but you said that he is new and that he will learn.

#1. Reserve? Reserve should only be used in the right conditions, and almost never by orks.

#2. He has a bad build. There is a fine line between enough Nob Bikers and too many. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing. He needs to lose some points and get more orks. They are the best basic infantry in the game and he needs a lot more of them. I have seen a few bike armies, and they normally have a lot more boyz.

#3. You only have 2, 5-man troop squads. That is what he has to kill as a priority. If he had some Koptas, you would be left trying to table him.

#4. Since he can’t get away from you since you have a very large charge radius, his defense of your charge is to have lines of orks screening the Nob Bikers. That way you hit the front lines, and then he counter attacks you. This is where a few more bodies would help him.

GMM,

I am anxious to see what that Shrike list will look like when it is finalized and painted. Your stuff is awesome.

I will second that "incompetent" is pretty harsh - some more practice games will help them get a feel for how it moves and accomplishes objectives.

I like the landspeeders helping the landraiders out, that is interesting. You could probably halt a charge or two vs. something that can hurt the raider by ending your movement sideways in front of it.

The ork player could probably do something similar with Deffcoptas turboboosting in front of the Nob Bikers? They could be easy KPs, but you could choose to use them in that capacity in non-KP games.

Curious to see how a second game would play out.

Maybe I'm mistaken here (probably cause i don't have both army list), but the Ork army is short about 150 points in the match.

2x Warboss on bikes with all upgrades and Klaw/combi-rokkits
2x 9 Man Nobz on bikes (5 with Klaws and all 9 with combo-rokkits)
1x 20 man Boyz +Nob w/PK BP and eavy armor
1x 17 gretchin with 1 runtherd

all that comes up at max 1715, which would be less since you aren't going to give Warboss armor since they are on bikes. Might want to check his math on his list.

Shoot enough, there is no assualt phase! W-L-D 5-1-1
Let it burn! W-L-D 4-1-1

^You are missing some upgrades for the bikers I think. His list is 1850 I have seen it. You are forgetting boss poles, waagh banner etc. There arent 9 combi rokkits though.
