Not to mention that the rules for wound allocation specifically refer to situations similar to this as being appropriate times to do it.

notabot187 wrote:The person "abusing" the wound rules usually paid a lot of point for the unit that lets him do it. This is at the cost of many models, in the case of Nobs on bikes, it translates into something like over 100 boys. If you think a pair of units that costs well over 100 boys should be easy to kill, well I don't know what to tell you.
Beautifully said.
I don't think I've ever seen the point of view better stated.

Personally I would rather face a nob biker list then the ork swarm lists I see. The big thing is you just have to throw ID stuff at the bikes. Lascannons, MLs, Meltas, MM, Vindicator and orbital bomb all cause ID AND only let the nob get their cover save.

Since the tyranid warriors don't have 3 kinds of saving throws AND FNP, and in addition are immune to instant death, autocannons and heavy bolters are your best bet, but bolters do just fine too.

Well since their T4, 5+ (4+ most of time), any standard gun would work, just volume of fire them to death.
