Oh, there was this other game a friend and I played once in the arcade, and I can't remember the name. It was a fantasy side scrolling fighting game (like Golden Axe, or King of Dragons). It might have been a Capcom game, but I'm not sure.
Anyway, the cool thing about it, was you could get powerups that transformed you into were-type creatures. One dude transformed into a werebear, and one of the others (I think) could turn into a minotaur, although I'm not sure about that. The werebear I'm sure of though, because that's the dude I played as. It's not Altered Beast though, it's something different.
Anyone know the game?

Original Diablo was fething awesome. Sure, you can't run, but the atmosphere is amazing.
@Belphegor: Did you get your name from Kohan II perchance?

Agreed on Diablo.
I like D2, but there is something about running around the desert and jungle that's just not the same.

But it's so fething hard. Once you reach the lava caves, everything starts smacking you down over and over and over.
That, and if you die, you have to reload your save. No respawning in town makes me sad.

What?
Respawning in town is horrible!
You have no equipment. How much damage does a paladin do with no equipment? 5? You can't kill anything, nor can you survive getting hit by anything. You die once, and you can guarantee that you're going to die another eight times trying to retrieve your damn corpse!
Then there's the fundamental problem with the suspension of disbelief; when you load from a saved point, it's like you never died. When you get resurrected after dying, but it's the 30th time you've died (yes, I have literally died that many times. God dammit Duriel...), it starts to become rather silly. I mean, can you imagine the priest resurrecting the necromancer 30 times? There's no penalty if you have no gold, and it's hard not to die with no armor.
I'll admit that Diablo has it's own problems there though. It was - Obsidian Lords, I'm pretty sure - one time. I went into the lava pits and BOOM there were like 10 guys on me, and each one is like a fething rhinoceros or something. I burn all the potions up in three seconds, die right after. I didn't even know what hit me.
Still not worse than Duriel though.
No one's worse than Duriel...

I used to play Heroes of Might and Magic.
My friends and myself used to play it hot seat during high school summers.
We had a rotating pool game for the players who were not taking their turn.
(I hate Duriel as well, Duriel cheats... and kicks pug puppies.... stupid grub-butt stupid head.)

Duriel makes me sad. Melee characters get frozen, ranged get charged, and casters die in a couple of hits. No boss, in ANY game, is more annoying than Duriel.

Ah yes, paladin with a weapon that gains mana and an uber prayer aura. Potions lasted forever, mix that in with a follower from Lut Gholein with blessed aim and have a ball.

Prayer sucked balls. Fanatacism+zeal+life/mana steal is what makes a good paladin.

Total Annihilation? Actually a very cool rts. You started with a commander (a giant robot) and he would walk around and act as a builder. He also was a very nasty shooting machine himself. It was great because you could build bombers, ships, and lots of different vehicles. I think it was game of the year in 1999 or 2000.

That game had about 10 sequals if I remember. Very good game though. I need to find a copy of it.

How does prayer suck? Use it to stay healthy while wounding a boss and then finish them off with vengeance or maybe some other amazing spell.
