Bournemouth & Poole are mine, but as I've not done GW for about 2 yrs now, it's a moot point However I do game at the Wessex Wyverns on Monday nights

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

I haven't heard of it before. Funny that it's near 18 st. S.E, since the store I actually usually go to is Sentry Box, on 18 st. S.W.

Is it nice? Do they have a lot of selection?

It's better to simply be an idiot, as no one can call you on it here. -H.B.M.C.

Cap'n Gordino's instant grammar guide:
"This is TOO expensive." "I'm going TO the store, TO get some stuff."
"That is THEIR stuff." "THEY'RE crappy converters."
"I put it over THERE." "I'll go to the store THEN."
"He knows better THAN that." "This is NEW." "Most players KNEW that."

Tied and gagged in the back of your car

About a quarter of the store is GW stuff. They have 40k games once a month (which is pretty much the only time I play...)(they try to have each week reserved for a different game, 40k's on the first sunday), although if you call ahead, you can have a game at any time if someone's there.

In terms of stock, they have a shelf with 40k blisters on the front, fantasy on the back, and some LotR on the sides(although there's terrain and dice there too. LotR isn't that popular, obviously). A shelf that contains codecies and army books, and a few WDs. Half the wall shelf on one side of the store is just packed with a bunch of boxes of 40k and fantasy stuff. For a small store, they have a pretty good selection. They do a good job of covering as many armies as they can with their limited space, which is nice. They don't have the entire GW stock available, but they try to have some things for every army. Their prices are also not bad, some items can hover around 10% below GW's prices, although that's not ALWAYS the case, it's what I find to be most common.

Nice guys there too. They're really into warhammer, and are fun to play with/against.

My local GW shop is the Chicago Battle Bunker, about 15 minutes from me. More of a traffic issue than a distance one.

However, the best FLGS in my area is Games Plus, about 30-45 minutes north of where I am in Mt. Prospect.

In Chicago: GW Red Top Plaza north of Chicago or the Chicago Battle Bunker (30 minute drive but worth the gazillion tables and terrain)

In Champaign: Dragon's Table and Armored Gopher Games. Both just moved into new locations so they are kind of limited in terms of terrain and aren't set up entirely, but both look promising.

I can't express how much I love having a Bunker down the street from my home, but I'm still jealous of people within driving distance of Warhammer World.

Sod the gamming hall.... The Bugmans Cheesecake is to DIE for!

There was some talk a few years ago of rolling the idea out to other areas! Take a run down warehouse, do up the inside, install a kid friendly bar, tables, gamming hall, GW store and set up "Warhammer Worlds!" in different towns....

Given the current climate not going to happen for a while, but if the money picks up, could happen in another 5-10 years....

My comments are my own, and mine own alone. If you have any complaints, please report to Mr Spanky who will take them down for you.....
