What do you want 40k to focus on?
Update existing codexes (Tau, Nids, DE, Necrons, Inquisition, etc)
Create (or even recreate) other codexes (Lost and Damned, Genestealer Cult, Adeptus Mechanicus, Hrud, etc)
Give Chaos Space Marine Legions their own codex(es) (World Eaters, Deathguard, Alpha Legions, etc)
Other supplements (more Apocalypse, alternate environments like Boarding Actions, etc)

Needs moar tau...

Seriously, the new IG codex puts the tau to shame.... Now the IG have 2-3 new str 10 ap 1 shots ): I fought tau were suppost to be gods of ranged combat? And tau stuff is WAY overpriced. Does any other army pay 20 pts for a plasma weapon that's sub-par to everyone elses standard plasma tech?

Also, we seriously need some necron, nid and dark eldar loving here. The necrons would be first, due to the fact that guass weapons are greatly weakened now thanks to 5th editon damage tables ):

Oh yeah....all plastic figs. Please. Oh....release a pre-heresy line.

I agree with this, 6th is a long way off yet, not needed at the mo. I think DE and INQ need doing sooner rather than later, and id love to see legion specific chaos marine codexes too!

Sadly I doubt this will happen. More likely we will get 2 Chaos Codex's, one for "Traitor legions" and one for "Chaos Renegades"

Two of my favorite opponents, one plays SW, the other plays DE and Eldar. He took best overall in combat patrols at Baltimore in 08 I believe it was. The SW player really loves his marines. My friend playing DE likes the army and he also wants to start Necrons but is waiting on a codex update for them. I think GW should get everything up to an equal level with each other. We all should stand on the same playing field if even for a little while.

Though I do very much wish for a Chaos Legions codex, bringing the old up to date would be fantastic.

I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

I agree, totally. This is the one thing that has bugged the hell out of me since I started playing the game.

Pretty much an echo of what other people have said here. There are plenty of codices which need small or large tweaks for 5th Edition.

Besides that, there are definitely folks who have been waiting a long time for a new book and minis. It would be nice to see the entire product line get an update and some love before going on to yet another edition or even another campaign type.

Personally I think they should have updating all the codex as their top priority. Start with the oldest one and work your way to the newest. It's pretty shameful that an army has an 11 year old codex. Maybe a better idea would be to suggest that GW hires more staff so they can either do more projects in the same time period or do them faster then they are now. Hiring a dedicated FAQ\errata group of like 2-4 people wouldn't hurt either.
