I'm pretty sure that in the Apocalypse book it states that the Super Heavies and other datasheets can only be used in Apocalypse games. It'd be like someone telling you they going to use a titan in a regular game.

In an on topic related note, your diarama entry looks good. Not entirely in love with the paint job on the stormlord.

Do you run Windows XP or some such? Windows Explorer is enough to do this kind of thing, no "IMage Editing Program" needed.

Also, if you want an image modding tool, check out Gnu Image Manipulation Program. Freeware, and excellent.

not for basic games :(

otherwise all it needs is a stompa with gigashooter or supergatler and its game over


Stompa (600 points)

and with that you get:

Gigashoota: 48" range, S6, AP4 Heavy 6D6, co-axial
or
Super-gatler: 48" range, S7, AP3, heavy 2D6, co-axial, psycho-dakka-blasta! (***)

deth cannon: 72" range, S10, AP1, ordnance 1, 7" blast, primary weapon.

belly gun: 72" range, S7, ap3, blast 3D6" (has 2 blasts, but under special rules)


*** psycho-dakka-blasta: long story short, it can be fired once.
roll 2D6 to determine shots fired.
if you dont roll a double, then pick another unit / vehicle within 12" of that unit and apply the same.
keep going until you roll a double.
once a double if rolled it runs out of ammo and cannot be fired again (no shots resolved if a double is rolled)


now, how many people feel like that shooting up thier army each turn?

On a related note: Chicken I wouldn't completely rule out using a spray can and then comeing back over that with paint. I know it's probably not done but I think that will improve the quality of the stormlord immensely. Then you can paint the details in on top of that. I like how you did the CSM from the codex with the claws around the guardsmens neck.

I Know i need to work on my freehand and thats what i was doing on the stormlord. the "stick man" is a not so well painted sign of slaanesh.

The red and black look much better than the purple . Your painting is pretty good so far , I worked for gw and most younger painters with the enthusiasm you have turn out to be great painters later on . Keep up the good work and always look for tips from the better painters have them show you some stuff it goes a long way .

WOW i actually remembered! I've decided to keep the stormlord as chaos. I have also got the promised pics of my NEW tormented. they are space marines desperately trying to force the temptation of chaos out of their mind. or have been taken over by chaos and are being punished. planning more, but hear is al I have pics of so ENJOY!!!!!:

I am still really confused. Is the last picture of the stormlord finished, as it appears less then 100% painted.

I saw the other thread about you painting and it came on leaps and bounds-like the diorama, did a similar one with a lightning claw.

Also, do you just click ok and ignore the text box that comes up when you type a message? I'll admit that sometimes mine leaves alot to the imagination, but its still legible and dosnt ever use the phase "kk", and i have usually been up since 5ish.

Anyway, ive concluded that these are renegades yes? in a kind of black legion crossed with word bearers style paint job??
