You've been mis-informed. Matt Wilson has come onto the forum to say that they have implemented an advent calendar of sorts on that clickable banner with new content being released daily from the complete cover art, to pictures of the miniatures etc.

Actually, there was a critical bit of info left off of the page with that 'cover shot' — info that is being added as I type this right now.

That's NOT the cover of the book. :-)

It IS a total tease, and will be over the next ten days as little windows drop out of it, kind of like an advent calendar, each one revealing a tantalizing piece of the cover. Behind the veil are various units, solos, myrmidons, a warcaster and an angry bird in what is definitely the most kick-ass cover we've ever had on a book. It's amazingly epic, but we're going to force you to come back here each day for a new little bit.

I know. It's evil. But you've got to let us have a little fun with it, don't you?

That’s all part of the fantasy Elf archetype, anything else and they wouldn't be Elves.

The question for me is, are these new guys a whole new unit or are they a weapon attachment for the first one.

Interesting angular look to their equpment. there's probably to many of them to be a UA. they look to be pretty heavily armoured (for elves).

I wonder how the two units will differ (if they are diferent units).

Those are clearly sonic blaster elves

Well, on closer inspection they look like Eldar mashed with Tau.....

They're looking quite nice though.

Eldar+Tau are thoughts too. They look great, but more 40K then Warmachine. Their weapons look far too advanced even in terms to Cygnar weapons.

Another window is open. These guys look like heavy infantry a la Cataphracts or Bastions. I believe these to be the Dawnguard mentioned in the IKWG.

Dawnguard are elite warriors that favor two-handed swords used by one of the Iosan military high houses (Shyeel? I don't remember its name). The leader of said house is a Retribution symapthizer. Really, it was only a matter of time before they would be revealed.

i'm mildly confuses by elfs that don't look like they'd break under a heavy rain or stiff breeze.....but they do look cool

We've got an Iosan taking a break on a broken statue. He's just chillin' out, maxin', relaxin' all cool and shooting some Khadorans outside of the Gate of Mists.

I'm guessing this guy is a warcaster, though I base that on nothing other than his prominence on the page.

Also, if you look in shadows under his cloak, you can barely make out Andrea Uderzo's signature.
