That rhino looks great! Two things that could be improved on that design are: wider tracks and the hatches being further apart. One of the annoying things about the current model is that it's very difficult to model the hatches open without them fouling on anything mounted on the neighbouring hatch.

The hatches could do with being bigger too, a marine in power armour would never fit through the current hatches and the crew models not surprisingly don't fit, they just sit on top of them.

Some pose concepts I am going to do -
One of the space marines is going to be holding a tau (devilfish commander mini with binocs) in his extended right hand, by the neck. The binocs will be removed, and the tau's hands will be clasped on the marines wrist. The marine's left arm will be down at his side, holding the spear (with bolter on it like Custodes). The Spartan helmet will be on his head, but tilted back so the marine's face is looking at the tau's face. The tau will be blue/grey skinned and white clothes/armour (good contrast to the gold & red spartans). Also the size of the marine (true scale) will really be obviuos if Tau are used on several of the bases...
Another pose is a marine who has swung his spear/bolter. The right arm is at a 45 degree downward angle, grasping the spear mid section. There is a trail of blue blood (tau blood) arcing off the blade...The left arm is out to the side, straight out horizontal holding shield...A little toothbrush flicker of blue blood will be on the Spartan Space marine....(I chose blue blood for contrast with the gold & red on the marines, so don't go all "fluff correcting").
Another marine will be doing the classic kick with the foot (like in 300 near the pit), crushing the face of a Tau warrior...
The dread will actually be in a swinging pose, with legs reposed, and the close combat arm will be swinging up and out to the left at 45 degree angle. There will be 3 tau crushed and flying off his arm, blue blood splattered on arm of dread....
One of the assualt marines, flying through the air (on reg base with clear flying stem), will be legs bent at knee back, both hands holding sword over head (like in 300 movie with the arm cut off the ambassador)....
Another marine will be kinda crouched, with spear bolter straight out, left arm holding shield in front of him (like a classic warrior pose)....
Another marine will be running (similar to lmtd edition marine running with hammer), but about to throw his spear/bolter...
One marine will be posed like chaos nurgle sorcerer from forgeworld, holding 3 kroot heads in the air, with helmet tilted back showing marine face...splattered with lime greenish blood from kroot....
Another assualt marine, flying in air, will have skewered a vespid in mid air combat....
One marine will be swinging his spear/bolter like a baseball bat, grasping it at the lower 1/3, and a tau will be cut in two parts...
(I am brain storming here...)
If you have any pose suggestions, please tell me!

Termies will have about 16mm extra height, 8mm extra width and 2mm extra thickness in chest...
Dread will be 1.5x bigger.....
Haven't seen those pictures for awhile . I had posted some updated pictures somewhere a couple years ago of where I had increased the height even more by adding spacers exactly where you've illustrated. The finished product was very imposing.
Looking forward to seeing your progress!
Not to hijack, but I gotta say that when I first posted pics of my biggerized marines back in November 2003, I figured people would just think I was an OCD nutcase. But the fact that people took the idea and ran with it (and often improved on it) makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Mostly because I realize we're all OCD nutcases . Having since bought a house, my modeling has been on hold for the last few years. I've got a project in the works however - Biggerized Marines scaled to work with the (more properly proportioned) AT-43 figs I use for Imperial Guard. Never did like GW's too-big heads and stubby bodies.

Well, they are the saviors of mankind, so why not allow for them to look weird against other GW armies? Besides, truescale makes them look more... imposing. So is this not a good look for those who are meant to strike fear into the hearts of the enemies of the Imperium?

@Krazynadechukr2:
I wish you well on this project of yours. I am glad to see one of my true scales on the first page as inspiration and with all the work Shas'el Tael, Migsula, Apologist and Synapse among others doing really great true scale work as well is making me want to get back to my marines. Currently I am stuck as to what chapter I should do!?!
True scales rock, don't let anyone tell you different. I will keep mine on the normal marine bases, just so people cannot claim I am using modeling to take advantage in game. Plus true scaling puts you at a disadvantage with the new LOS rules.
Essentially do what will make you the happiest in the end. Do what will keep you in the project for the long haul. Don't settle and don't compromise.
I hope to see some work soon as your concept sketch is really cool and quite inspiring.

Okay. I started some test model..
I realize all I need is 2mm under the feet, 4mm in the thighs, and 2mm in the waist for the termies to be a tad taller. I am using an easy substitute for plasti-card. There are 8.5x11 sheets of stiff foam like sheets at Walmart for 33 cents. Cutting with scissors and exacto knife is simple. Once super glue is added, they are hard as rock. I use them to extend the height and width. 2mm extra on each shoulder too, and the shoulder guards too. Anyway, these pics are at the roughest stages. There is alot of work to do on this model.
Dremeling and filing off all the icons is next. I will remove the attempt of a crest on top, and add the traditional banner on pole. I'll thin out the thighs, smooth out the abs, and have a nice round shield...Removing flash too.

Please stop arguing you two (three), you are embarrassing yourselves over a misunderstanding and it's only going downhill from there. If you wish to continue this little flame war, take it to PMs so as to not derail this thread; by posting comments such as the one above you are disrespecting both the OP and the dakka community who are trying to discuss something rather nifty here.
I like the test model, krazynadechukr2, but I would definitely like to know what your plans are for that six-pac, and, yes, it looks far too robust.
Make sure this foam stuff you've found at Walmart will not dissolve when spray painting it, I've had that happen to myself with some foam products.
Chaos helms are definitely a good way to go. You might want to consider adding a few "enhancements" to the helms, like optical-reader looking bits and wires (perhaps take a look at some of the more Tau-esque stuff).
One thing that has always somewhat deterred me from the idea of doing a truescale marine is the hands. The hands will look to tiny, I've always thought to myself, and big hands would look rather badass. I can't really tell from your picture, but what do you think? Unfortunately I cannot think of any models with larger hands that one can cannibalize for conversions.

Yeah, I do plan on smoothing down the abs. I just bought the dremel today. I also will be making the armor on all look like it is years and decades old for realism. I have already removed the silly attempt of a crest, and am placing a banner on the top. Since it is Greek/Spartan themed, and I am reading the Brothers of the Snake novel, I will make these Iron Snakes! I ordered more bits from TheWarstor, and one IS will be holding severed daemon head (instead of kroot as planned). I will stiill have a marine holding the tau by the neck, that way the size of the marines will be very obvious. I will use 8 mounted chaos marauder helmeted heads in my assualt force of 10. Sgts will have side to side crests. I'll be working on this for the next 30 days. As an contractor witht the military, I'll be spending the next month living in a hotel, with just this project to do! Keep up the comments and suggestions please.

The old sm arms sprue has hands that are larger than the current ones. That's the sprue that came with the heresy pattern bolter which had a small stock at the back of it. Might be able to find some on ebay if you're looking for larger sm hands.
