I'm liking what Im seeing, besides the picture size. Get a better camera next time you travel! Anyway, that's all well, but the daemon head mr. sergeant is holding reminds me quite a bit of that yeti thing on Hoth in Star Wars

lol it reminded me of those like woppas or what ev too lol! I have an idea for the larger hands although, honestly its not necessary: You could get power fists or something, they may be overly large but they could represent extreme gauntlets. You could also try puting like 1 or 2 mm of card in the middle of the hands... although, once again, they are fine the way they are.. i coult NEVER get this into a project (except maybe my Boas)

After a week, I have finished my 50 man marine spartan army....The conversions are done, the true scaling is done, most of the green stuff has been done. I need to trim up the minis flashing and green stuff trimming though. Then prime. Then paint. Then flock & seal. The only thing left is building the drop pod model. I'll add the new ironclad dread model to the army when that comes out.

Two termies are on dead wolves (homage to 300 again).

The one assualt flamer has flame on tip of flamer, it was a head plume on one of the chaos marauder helmeted heads I used....

The 10 man assualt squad is cool, and I may play test it as a unit of sternguard with jump packs and 7 thunder hammers with storm shields...over a 500 pt unit!

Altogether I have 11 thunderhammers & storm shields, 5 termies with lightning claws, 2 power swords, 1 power fist, and 1 force weapon....nice close combat force....

I'll paint them all bronze with red capes, and there is black (wolf) fur on some capes too. The inside portion of the shoulder pads (raised border remains bronze) will be white and individual greek motifs will be painted. Minis with shields will also have their shoulder motif painted on the shield to match. The left shoulder will have the greek delta symbol painted in red with white background too. Gun encasements are going to be red. Power wepons will be glowing a whitish light blue.

Awesome speed and work, but I think your greenstuffing needs a little work. The original terminator test model you posted had very rough looking greenstuff, despite the rest of the model looking fantastic.

Also, you should probably look into either purchasing some commercial shields such as the ones found here: http://www.crocodilegames.com/secure/list_items.asp?CatID=30&SubID=53&pageHeading=Items%20-%20Miniatures%20-%20Olympus From what I'm able to make out, your shields look very irregular and uneven. Again, this is in comparison to the great work you've done with the rest of the models.

Don't take my comment as an insult to your skills. Mass producing so many well converted and posed truescale marines in such a short time is a feat, and you have pulled it off very well. The true test however, is to make sure that your quality is consistent throughout, or the crappy bits WILL stand out like a sore thumb when all is said and done.

Wow! How did you finish so many so Fast!?

It is very inspirational to see someone have an idea, nurture it, and then go for it and see it on to completion

The GS on his thighs is not as noticable now that it's painted, very nice! And his abdomen looks really good with the cloth draped across!!

I couldn't tell how you "biggerized" your marines in the WIP pics. Did you cut their thighs as you'd originally planned, or just add it to the waist / chest? Whatever you did, they look excellent

One constructive criticism- you may need to thin down the white a lot and do several coats to get it all the way there. I know you said you'd just started, but since it's going over a darker color it won't look as nice as the rest unless it's done in several thin coats! (you're probably doing this already )

Excellent start to the painting and can't wait to see all of 'em done up! What a wonderfully themed army

Do you have Photoshop? Have you thought about working on the fotos, making them brown-reddish-miller-style?

The quickness is due to the fact that I am on the road and living in a hotel...

The paint job is the base coat, and I will thin down next few coats....

Unfortunately the pics are from my phones camera and this laptop of mine does not have any art programs...

stay tuned for more
