To be fair, I haven't seen Death Proof yet, so I won't comment on it.

I'm surprised you liked Kill Bill 1 and not Kill Bill 2, when they were really just one movie cut into two pieces. I think there's a difference between "bloody for bloody's sake" (like what you'd see in a cheap horror/slasher film) and the more aesthetic violence in Tarantino films (Kill Bill being the best example I think, having not seen Death Proof.)

What are you referring to when you say "weird language spells" though?

Kill Bill 2: Well to be honest most of it was pretty boring to me, except for the final sequence. I was unfascinated with the Daryl Hannah character buildup up and conflict. the bar scene in Mexico (?) was a snoozer.

I think we disagree on whether is cheap slasher film blood for blood's sake at this point.

Conversations: His earlier films (and KB II-last conversation) were noted by these passages, discussions on weird topics. Sometimes they are interesting, sometimes they are not.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

I thought the foot thing was specific to Uma Thurman ? Those being her least favourite body part or something ?

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

No, Tarantino has admitted to it and doesn't hide his love for female feet:
- In From Dusk Till Dawn he sucks liquor from Salma Hayek's bare feet.
- In Jackie Brown Robert DeNiro is distracted by the toe ring on the bare foot of Bridget Fonda.
- Kill Bill 1 has the whole "wiggle your big toe" scene, Kill Bill 2 the part where Uma squishes an eyeball barefoot.
- Dead Proof Kurt Russel plays with bare feet.

So, I think he'll throw his fetish into this movie as well.

As for his dialogue style: he has written for a lot of movies, adding in these really geeky and pointless discussions, like the Silver Surfer and some other superhero battle in Crimson Tide.

On a funnier note, Tarantino also always works a reference to the Netherlands into most of his movies. Reservoir Dogs theme was sung by George Baker, a Dutch singer. Pulp Fiction had the whole Amsterdam talk and Kill Bill had a ringtone that is the anthem of my country. Again,

Holy gak, he's really going all the way: "[Eli] Roth also directed the film-within-a-film, entitled "Nation's Pride" (Stoltz der Nation) which is a homage to Leni Riefenstahls wartime propaganda flicks. He said that he hopes that the mini-movie will make him become "the Sarah Palin of the Nazi Party.""

Ah yes. I know exactly what you are talking about. Sorry, for some reason I didn't make the connection when you said "weird language spells."

I thought "Death Proof" was terribly boring. Yes, I know that Tarantino movies practically live of useless discussions but it didn't really work for me Death Proof, probably because of the all-female cast. I just couldn't relate to (or understand) what they we're talking about all the time.
The ending was nice though.

And I loved David Carradines Superman-Monolouge in Vol. 2
