Really nice, really really nice, i would sort out the middle leg though, it looks like someones just leaning it against the tank, and your risking people thinking its scrap, but other than that i loke the ammo boxes on top, its got lovely details, i really like it alot.

The New Miss Macross!

i think the new valkyrie would make a good base for this. 1) it's big like the original model 2) it's got a similar front glass canopy 3) it's got a ramp in the back like the at-te it would still require alot of leg conversion and plasticard to get a similar shape, though.

@ Salted Diamond: No, I'm still working out the rules (help appreciated: http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/240747.page) for it, so no weaponry yet.
@ Lt. Scourge: I will rework the middle legs as soon as I figure out how. Thanks though.
@Flachzange: Thanks!
@Warboss: I guess the valk could be used, but that's gonna be a rather expensive model to cut up. This guy will be pretty cheap, as long as I buy the bitz and parts online. Chimera hull, sentinel head and legs, and details.

@Dr.Salvadore: Thanks a lot!
@djphrank: Thank you!
@rbdhd: Cheers, I'm glad you like it.
@blessedbethyemperor: A stank? What's that?
Finished the legs (got distracted by my 18th birthday, and the obligatory Valkyrie): Now I only need all the weapons and the base.
Hope you like it!

Thanks guys!
So far, it's a Chimera with a Dozer, but I'm looking for some modified rules for it (more troop cap in particular, since it's quite bigger than a Chimera).
Suggestions are welcome as to rules!

This is freeakin's ace! I have to ask - and this might seem dull - but I'd love to know where you got the really long ammo feed for the ammo box on the front pintle.
Great work though!

Interesting idea and some good work so far can't wait to see the finished product. I do hope you beefed up the turret between building and painting.

@Tek: Thanks! I used two ammo belts from the IG Heavy Bolter.
@Ghosty: Thank you. Yes, well, I'm still unhappy with the middle legs, and I'm packing all my stuff so that I can move into my own appartment, so hobby projects are on hold. Mini stealers are (I'm told) Rogue Trader era Familiars for Genestealer cult something something.
Out of production, most likely. I'd ebay them if I were you.
@Edward: Thank you for those kind words.
@Vipera: Yup, they suck. Thanks nonetheless.
@Simon: Much appreciated, thank you.
@Sharpe: Thank you. I guess you'd want assault vehicles to look somewhat... aggressive? Especially in urban combat - can you imagine seeing this thing coming around a corner, heavy flamers blazing away?
Thanks everybody, for the kind words and praise! I'm really amazed by how much you like it, it's my first real vehicle (and thus also vehicle conversion). It's 90% done at the moment, with only the weapons and base in need of painting - but, as stated above, I'm moving around, so no hobby work lately and in the near future.
Be sure to email/subscribe here, I'll post pictures of the finished thing in some time.
Cheers!
Edit: @TheSilverBack: Thank you. The turret has gotten a gunshield, but I rather like it to be so spindly - it's more Remote Controlled 'ish like that. Pictures will be posted though.

Really great conversion there! Looks like it could actually move as well- which adds to the overall effect of the model.
ABSOLUTELY EPIC, WALKING TANK!
Well done!

@Blightdron: Thanks! I tried to have it look at least semi-mobile, and kept checking that the legs had enough room to move around etc... I'm glad it payed off.
@Deathgear: Cheers mate.
@Tek: I've been getting alot of different possibilities regarding these guys. Yours is as good as any.
@Phear: Thank you! ...although not totally scratchbuilt.
@Infiltraitor: Glad you changed your mind. My friends were sceptic too, but loved the result.
