The TF2 360 update is still being worked on, the 360 is just very limited in its hardware and Valve is working around the clock for months now trying to find loops and workarounds to get the new content working on the 360.
As for Jarate, people hate it because it was an Aprils Fools joke first, but like the Ostrich hammer from Red Faction 12 it has been turned from spoof into an actual ingame weapon.
I have the PS3 version. I'm perfectly satisfied with the maps and weapons provided. I just with they would clean up the most obvious bugs, especially the bugs that allow cheating. But they won't because the PS3 was a conversion done by an EA team.
Will you guys mind to ask a coulpe of questions I am thinking of buying it.
1.Do you also level, collect new weapons exp and such?
2.How steep a learning curve is involved,I mean which is the hardest character type to play with?
3.Is it difficult to keep me busy enough for long periods?

It's a team game and there are nine character classes with different weapons and abilities. For example, the Heavy is tough and had a big gun but he is slow. The Scout is weak but very fast.
You don't level up though on the PC you can unlock extra weapons for achievements.
Pyro is a fairly simple starting character because you just run around and spray fire at everyone. No aiming. To play a Pyro well, and not get killed all the time, is harder.
The gameplay is astonishingly deep. The mix of characters, skills, different maps, and even the amount of time allowed for a round all have a bearing on winning the game.

Also medic is the best starting character. Find someone with a decent score and follow them around healing them and you'll be credit to team and learn how to play other classes. Don't do this if they're playing spy, obviously.
