It seems that you will only be encountering this C'tan in friendly matches with your brother, as this is the case there is nothing to say you can't tailor you list to take his out. That means cheap scouts with sniper rifles. Best bang for buck when it comes to removing that big nasty C'tan. The only problem with them is that after the C'tan is dead they will do very little damage to the rest of the Necrons force, still they are fine for holding a home objective.

One that's never taken a statistics course.
I wouldn't really bother with the C'tan at all. Sniper scouts (especially ones that don't count as scoring) are pretty useless in most games. I'm not sure they're even worth it in this scenario. Necrons are so pitiful in close combat that you'd be better off spending those points trying to figure out how to pull off sweeping advances.

Just remember that once you destroy a unit you'll get shot to death as you can't consolidate into another combat. I think you're right about the snipers though. In the past few games I've been thoroughly unimpressed by snipers, especially for the points you have to pay for them.

Use some Grey Knight allies, they're designed to take down daemons without giving them a save. And daemons generally have an invulnerable. So take loads of psycannons, S6, AP4, Assault 3 (18" range)/ Heavy 3(36" range), NO INVULNERABLE SAVE. Easy.

Id be far more afraid of 2 monoliths than a C'tan, but that may just be personal preference. 2 Deepstriking monos is REALLY SCARY AHHH!! Otherwise, because the bahstards are so slow, as has been said before you should be able to kill a C'tan in one round of firing and one round of combat, save terrible roles of course. Yes they are nasty in CC but being a single model, they are inherently weaker than groups, say as been said TH/SS termies. Even just standard termies with fists can kill him with relative ease, I had a unit of 10, with 2 cyclone missle launchers, wound him once in shooting, charge him, termies take 3 wounds, kill the C'tan in close combat. Its not as scary as you might think being only one guy, thats slow. Now say you were doing a 2v2 and they both had a C'tan, running together... That begins to become a problem...

You should read the thread before posting... Snipers have been discussed and are by most standards very good, but the OP runs a dark angels army so has limited options, especially in the way of snipers.

Well, since you've had success with snipers, have you had success with anything else the OP might be able to field? Options for a dread or something no one else has thought of?

How is your predator set up? AC with LC sponsons might be a decent option for this, there is also the option for triple LCs on it as well (I don't know the pricing of the options in the DA codex though.) The only problem I foresee with this option is that if he has a lord with veil of darkness he might port over with some friends and munch it very early.
