All the players will arrive way ahead of fans coming to see a football game. It's not like you are playing UNC.

I don't see what the big deal is. Doesn't Duke just subcontract a high school team for football?
Oops, I guess they were better last year.
Anyways, go Clemson!

Well it's less than one month away now. We have a lot of players signed up but there are still a few slots left open to fill. We should easily have twice the number of players as last year. If you do want to attend and have not registered yet then please don't wait.

Here are the results:
Best Overall • Brian Delgado • Blood Angels
Player's Choice • Mike Walsh • Space Wolves
Best Army • Doug McNaron • World Eaters
Warmaster (Best General) • Blake • Imperial Guard
Best Sportmanship • Matt Parmer • Iron Warriors
We had 28 players come out, including a large contingent from the Iron Fist Club lead by Don Mondo. I really liked Don's army a lot and he did very well in battlepoints plus I think his army theme was quite popular. We had some fantastic tables and the feedback I received on the missions was very popular. We will be hosting another 40k GT next year as well.
A big thanks to everyone who came out. Friday night open gaming was a big hit this year.

Here are my pictures from the event: http://www.dakkadakka.com/gallery/images-6768-4631_Raleigh%20Minicon%202009.html.
It was a very good tournament, and my opponents were all fun to play against.
Looking forward to next year!
