In the grand scheme of things though, wouldn't you rather have scantily clad women running around than people trying to set others on fire. It just seems like a good bit of practical reasoning.

I want scantilly clad women running around setting people on fire... and addressing me as their high commander.

Naked, buxom women with flamethrowers are probably one of the sexiest images I can think of at the moment... especially when commanded by me, wearing a nifty hat and a greatcoat.

Things I've gotten other players to admit...

To repeat someting I said in the SAVE THE CHILDREN! thread before it got locked for Religion bashing:
Just a few days ago, I found an interesting link in a German forum, where someone postet how some guy once tried to have several GW publications banned due to "glorification of violence". He quoted from the 3rd edition Ork Codex and GorkaMorka and then there is of course this minor detail that Commisars look a bit like Nazis.

It was all official and stuff, he brought this up to the German institution for youth-endangering media but they said it's okay, because it's all part of a game involving socialising, modeling and a rule book "too complicated for younger children".

Bandit Keith has all the best lines.

"In America!"

"You punch like somebody who isn't American."

"Try speaking American, it's the only language I understand."

"These sunglasses sure make it difficult to see in the dark, but I refuse to take them off because I'm an American, and Americans always wear sunglasses."

"You're not American! You're not even wearing a flag on your head!"

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.

Lies. All Germans were Nazi's in WWII, even the Fallschirmjaeger .

How graphic does the Dark Eldar codex get? Could they have censored bits ofit?

Anyway, don't the death korps of Krieg look a lot like WW1 soldiers?

Yes. The most visible influences for the Death Korps of Krieg seem to be WW1 German infantry and WW1 French infantry.

I also want to add I think government censorship is ridiculous. This is just another example in a long line of ridiculous examples, and unfortunately stuff like this happens in more than just Germany.

The worst thing about cencorship in Germany is, that games and movies labeled with a "no youth" (18+) rating often get shortened anyway, so they are no longer "youth endangering" which is basically just proof that the system isn't working like they would like it to work.

Are you not able to Import movies from say the UK? Surely with the single market and all you could. Subtitles would be a pain but the Interwebs has all you need.

Importing is no problem at all, as long as there are no swastikas the game. It's still a stupid and useless law though.

Indeed this is correct most die hard party members were in the SS, there were nazis in the whermacht (german army) but they were probably more rare. In fact a lot of germans in the whermact started to hate the nazis because they destroyed Germany. Then Germany destroyed the guns & fire with their censorship.

Yeah, yeah, yeah and not all PLA members are Communist Party members. But since China's a one party state referring to it a Communist China is perfectly correct. So referring to WWII German as Nazi Germany and WWII German military as the Nazis is fine in casual conversation, it also serves to stress that the Steel Legion are based on WWII Nazi German paratroops and not say modern German paratroops.

The Whermacht was created, commanded, and loyally followed the Nazi party into destruction. They can't be seperated from the Nazis.

I just watched two episodes of DBZ abridged recently and thought it was quite funny. At least better then the german dub. Is the Yu-Gi-Oh stuff any good if I despise the source material with all my heart? And can someone give me a link?
