Just thought I'd share this with you. It's the German Witch hunters Codex right next to the English version. Apperantly, pointing guns on people on fire isn't as bad as setting people on fire.

In case Fraz won't mind, we could also use this thread to continue the discussion from the "SAVE THE CHILDREN" thread, as long as we stay away from that other sensitive topic which got it locked in the first place. For that I started this thread.

Thats just weird.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

You mean like in the international poster for Bangkok Dangerous

Appearantly, Nic Cage didn't want to set a bad example for his kid, so poor little Kal-El wouldn't grow up thinking guns are cool.

Wait? There were jokes in friends?

It wasn't just the dopey guy, the so-annoying-I-want-to-kill-them-siblings, the also-annoying-hippy-chick, the princess and the other guy?

That GW are transforming the youth of today into brainless servile supersoldiers that will murder us in our sleep page was scary.
Kinda proves the theory though.

Pick a random loony conspiracy theory and there are at least 2 sites on the net raving about it.

can't wait for invisible Leman Russ Cannons, or Boltguns shooting invisible Bullets.

Or Cadians shooting invisible lasguns. Then again, they're technically invisible.....

Nothing should really ever be censored should it?

The people listening to rap fall into one of two categories. People who may commit the crimes discussed and people who would never commit the crimes discussed. Either way both groups still exist.

It should be censored because its crap music. I couldn't give two gaks about the lyrical content.

Me neither, but I'm sure that somewhere your favorite music is in the minority. Like now. People that like rap certainly don't like my favorite music.

But pointing a gun at someone on fire is good! You're putting them out of their misery.

I'll try to avoid negative comments about rap music. Some people say it's art, I just don't get what's so good about it. But I try to be tollerant.
Just yesterday I was listening to my collection of Mega Man midi files, what does that say about my taste in music?

Right now, nobody in Germany talks about censoring rap. Once again, it's all about video games.

You fools! The germans don't have the power to censor stuff. That sacred duty, the task of stopping Imperial Citizenz from figuring out how an inferno pistol works, is the the INQUISITION! They are all around you! Always watching you for the slightest waekness...

So does the Ork codex cover have all the images of axes and guns replaced with pillows and slingshots?

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

In the grand scheme of things though, wouldn't you rather have scantily clad women running around than people trying to set others on fire. It just seems like a good bit of practical reasoning.

I don´t think this is necesarrily censored. Look at the angel-woman in the background. Her wings have a darker shade of brown in the English version than in the german version. Also, there´s another lack of details on the german cover ( depth of the colours, strength of some of the lines etc. ) When the new IG codex appeared, people complained about the first version of the cover, where all flags were white and everything looked a bit more flat. Now they´ve added effects and painted the banners. Maybe germany got an early/ wrong version of the cover-pic to put on the books and the shot of the flamer was added by the artist later.

Blessed be the mind that is too small for doubt!

It might be because the gun sets him on fire. I thought Germany had a number of laws brought on because of stuff that happened in WWII. So maybe shooting him would have been okay but setting him on fire would have broken some law.

I had a Red Shirt tell me Steel Legion were not able to be sold in Germany because they looked like SS stormtroopers. Which I though was understandable because I'm pretty sure they were modeled after SS stormtroopers.

Is that true Anung? Were Steel Legion banned in Germany?

Please don't fall for the common misconceptions, not all Germans soldiers in WWII were Nazis. A more appropriate term would be German paratroopers.
