Very very sweet - Love those bases, (despite the bad lighting). I also really like the gun on your most recently painted model, its the sort of 'heat stressed' metal effect I tried (and failed) to go for on my first Plague Marine.

Any tips on that effect?

Yes slann, we all know you're crazy!

CBub, that officer is totally kickin'. I think the spikes on his pauldrons are a nice touch, and he is well painted to boot.

I agree with Slann, though, in the fact that both you and infilTraitor have inspired to make more gritty-looking IG armies. This is all well and good because I think the grittiness fits better in the Grim-dark future that is 40k. I wish they would put more armies like these in their codex, instead of the cookie-cutter cadians, catachans, and other stock variants. At least the 4th ed codex showed some different paint schemes for the cadians, this one.... not so much. Keep up the good work!

PS: I know it is way more fun to build them than to paint them, but I always get motivated to paint more when I see how badass they look fully painted!

I believe what he did was a base of boltgun then a wash of badab then maybe two coats of ogryn. I'll have to ask him when I see him next as he's having trouble logging on here.

Armies:
(CSM/HH) - Iron Warriors; Death Guard; World Eaters; Night Lords
IG - Vestfalian Expeditionary
Force (Solar Auxilia - HH)
SM - Blades of Inaros (Homebrew)
DE - Kabal of Ouroboros

The army looks to be shaping up very nicely. The figures/conversions are very sharp and clean.

infilTRAITOR is right though..... paint more stuff!

Okay, soI know I haven't been the most socialable of posters here but I find it difficult to go to work at 5am and then be in the mood for 40k when I get back. And weekends are for nazi zombies and nachos.

I have done a few things, infiltraitor is trying his best to get me to paint stuff with little success. I was going to make my army armoured but infiltraitor now seems to have more tanks than me in his "mechanised/airbourne" force. What the f**k gives?

Anyway, i give you these...

infiltraitor is coming over later today to smash my head in with a hammer. i'm hoping he will take some shots of my stuff.

Woah, what is that giant tank? Is that a scratchbuilt, or is it a bizzare FW malcador variant I haven't noticed yet?

Your guard, with the added bulk from their shoulderpads and the masks, really do speak 'Nurgle' and 'renegade' before we've even seen em painted yet, kudos.

It's a 1/35 Medium Mark A Whippet. A British WW1 tank which was introduced in 1918.
