Hello, I'm quite new here. I've been toying with the idea of creating a Traitor Guard army for about a year now and decided to go ahead with it when I became bored of building Space Marines. My friend infilTRAITOR has helped to point me in the right direction for a few bits and pieces.

As I work from stupid o'clock in the morning I rarely have the patience to sit down and paint in the evening but I have two weeks holiday coming where infilTRAITOR and myself are gonna sit down and have a big painting session with pizza, nachos and energy drink. So, in the build up to this event I am busying myself with creating my army.

Here is one of my HQ soldiers with a vox-pack:

I weeped tears of blood and faeces trying to get that helmet into place. I have more pictures that I will upload and put on here as and when I can between bouts of Nazi Zombies.

That is a very nice conversion there mate.

I wish I had someone to sit down and paint with.

But yea, I look forward to seeing more.

Cheers,

Jack.

Where be Stahlhelm from? Overall, looking smooth, sharp, and mean -- with that sort of bulk that screams Daemonic Creatin. Nice.

Oh, Death was never enemy of ours!
We laughed at him, we leagued with him, old chum.
No soldier's paid to kick against His powers.
We laughed - knowing that better men would come,
And greater wars: when each proud fighter brags
He wars on Death, for lives; not men, for flags.

Bloody hell, didn't expect so many comments so soon.

Erm...shoulder pads are grave guard. Upper torso is from cadian command squad. head and rebreather was also cadian command while the helmet is from a 1/48 scale tamiya wehrmacht kit.

Time for another update I think. Sorry for the delay, I only come onto Dakka Dakka when I'm at infilTRAITOR's house. I should really learn the url so I can do it at home but oh well.

First up is a mortar team I'm working on:

Second is an officer I made using Cadian Command bits:

This is a Leman Russ turret I MacGuyver'd together a while back and I am about to repaint:

And a base I made not so long ago. It's supposed to be an Ultramarine that died while struggling to climb out of loose terrain but failed; as Ultramarines often do:

All of this is in preparation for my PaintFest '09 this coming month.

The officer head works really well. It doesn't look nearly as small as we had feared!

I really like that russ turret. Very snazzy, very cool. I like the colour scheme too.

As for the dakka Url, it's pretty simple. Type Dakka, and hit enter. Or, if you don't like shortcuts or are using IE, type www.Dakkadakka.com.

These guys are great, the blood sweat and tears, (amongst other things) was well worth it for that first guy, he is very nice indeed.

Yeah, but I'm pretty lazy so I will stick to doing it when infiltraitor forces me to do it.

This was made by me and i have a few more khorne orks that are still unpainted. infiltraitor painted it as he needed an ork for a competition or something. i dunno, sounds a bit fruity to me.

Just to clear things up, only the top models helmet is Tamiya. The metal heads are from the SHS system in West Winds Secrets of the Third Reich range.

Ive been a busy beaver building away at new things. Im waiting on a West Wind order to complete my command squad but in the meanwhile i have demolished a bunch of old tanks i have and put them together with blood and a little glue to make these two:

Also the picture of the khorne ork was shrunk by photobucket for some reason. i hate photobucket SO MUCH! i've had it resized and here it is:

Remember, i only made the ork. it was painted by infilTRAITOR for some gay-love competition.

@ FoxPhoenix135: Agreed. This is what I keep telling me ever since I've seen them in Dakka: "I want Pig Iron helmets for my future IG ARMY!!!"

@ ChaosBubbles : Awesome job, dude... I got a small feeling, like these guards looking like Star Wars Imperial Troopers... But still so GW-ish at the same time!! so great huh!!

AGH! I have comments. erm...yeah. hang on.

@FoxPheonix135 - I've just torn apart all my old space marines tanks and i might try and do something with them. thinking about using an as90 turret on a leman russ as it seems to work well.

@Yggdrasil - gasmasks are great only in 40k they count for bugger all against the bane wolf :(

@metallifan - yeah, bad guys are just neat. spiky shoulders just makes them more bad.

i have a few new pictures to throw up. not very good as lighting is just terrible. and most of my stuff is sprayed black but i have actually started painting some guardsmen up so prepare you bladder for imminent release!

some bases i've made.

this dude is the leader of my traitor guard. planning on entering him into the figmentia contest.

another leman russ i bought yesterday.

an oh-so exciting base

leader of my chaos orks.

i have finished building my heavy weapons teams with nasty bases. and i now have a built and sprayed sentinel squadron. i just need to get painting.

lovin' the khorne orks. I wonder why GW never made a Chaos Orks army? it'd be perfect! lol

anyways, you know any site I can get some cheap IG and CSM bits from? and what sites did you buy those WW2 stuff from? I might try that for a future army

NO! YOU FAIL!

@ShadowAngel159

GW should never make a chaos ork army. they wouldnt do it very well. it should be up to the fans to convert and make godly creations! the ww2 stuff is from West Wind and they work well. And I just go to bitsandkits UK for my bits.

Anyway, was bored at GW pompey last night and actually painted something. i'm as shocked as you!

light was a bit bad but this is one of my officers. this is the first mini i've sat down and painted properly in i don't know how long.

He's looking pretty swish. Wish it was better light then I could have taken a better picture for you. He looks sorta WW1 in this picture. And the boltgun came out really well!

It's very good considering all you used to do was knock out a squad of tabletop quality smurfs a night =D
