I agree that Snikkrot in a full squad is dangerous. What I meant was, most people you play against, rarely pay attention to whats in the squad. They just check to see if you have Kommandos and Snik, and they deploy as if you had a full squad.
Heck, when playing against some armies, the minimum squad would carve them up just fine. I do agree, 100 more points is well worth all the Kommandos, but in the event you needed that extra 100, you know where you can get it.

Whether you kill the monolith or not is not the point; having the ability to do so if you choose to do so is. If a game pops up and you have no ability to deal with a monolith (or a land raider) and you absolutely need to...you're boned. No sir, I don't subscribe to the idea that you don't need an answer to everything.
Capture and control, and my enemy has AV14 parked on their objective, preventing me from winning, and I didn't bring anything capable of dealing with it? I think not.
Thats because you put yourself into that kind of situation. My games have never failed me that way.

My orks are currently sitting at 60 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw. Haven't failed me yet, and the OP is running a pretty similar list; if his tactics come through, he'll be all set.
See you at 'Ard Boyz? We'll see who's list is failing them.

Just because you NEED to win by killing the monolith (and the like) doesnt mean I cant win without killing it.
And if you want to track wins, sorry I lost track of mine over the years.
I ll be more interested to track my losses, and I learn more from them.

*laughing* Orkish, the reason I come to this section of the forums to give advice on armies (Ork and Tau) is because I fancy myself a good player. You sound almost like you believe that there's an inverse relationship between success and good advice. o.O
I agree that losses are *much* more valuable than winning. Personally, I don't really play friendly games around my area anymore unless I'm trying to test something specific (like my 2500 point game against mechanized IG today). I feel like its a foregone conclusion that I'm going to win most of the time, and beating someone to pulp isn't really *fun* anymore; I end up feeling like I just wasted a bunch of hours. The result is that I tend to stick to tournaments, so at least I have a chance of getting something in return for my time.
The result of *THAT* has been that the last 3,000 or so points worth of Orks that my wife and I have acquired have been at the cost of $5 and $10 entry fees. Orkish, I'm sure that you're feeling offended and that I'm boasting, but I'm not. I tell the unadorned truth, and the only time I feel the need to bring out my win-loss record is when someone questions the value of my advice and offers counter-intuitive advice that I don't agree with. In that case, I say something along the lines of, "I don't agree with you, here's several reasons why you're wrong, here's why my idea is better, and my win/loss record seems to support that my idea works."
*shrugs* Take it for what its worth.

LOL, I always feel amused but at the same time helpless when people don't follow what is going on.
The question revolved around whether in a 40k game, a player "NEEDS AN ANSWER to EVERYTHING".
You may go ahead and prove that you were able to win YOUR games by having an answer to everything. But you can't stop people from proving that they were able to win THEIR games WITHOUT having an answer to everything. So what conclusion do we have here? A player NEED NOT (may OR may not) have an answer to everything, but will still be able to win a game beautifully.
Young man, learn to read with an open heart. With regards to being offended or not - well, let me tell you this :- Your so called"boastful comments" (as declared by yourself) mean NOTHING/worthless to me.

Lets put this in specific context:
You told the OP that he doesn't need a potential answer to everything, and gave the example of a monolith. That's AV14. If you don't have an answer to a monolith, you don't have an answer to land raiders either.
That means that playing a game against someone with 3-5 land raiders pretty much means that you're going to lose.
That means that you just presented the OP an idea that guarantees there exists at least ONE scenario in which he will lose a game...an opponent with a land raiders or probably even several monoliths.
*I* prefer to have the capablity of beating ANY army list. There's never a guarantee, but knowing that I *can* take anything if I play well is preferable. Continue giving bad advice as you like, but also expect that people wiser than you are going to call you out on it.
My grey hair takes your "young man" comment gratefully, and also snickers that you felt the need to attempt making a personal comment to make your opinion more valuable. I'll tell you this: age doesn't make someone's opinion more valuable, and the only thing that you just established is that you're lacking self-confidence in your ability to let your arguments stand on their own merit. Go away; you've just relegated yourself to the status of dumb troll.

LoL, my comments arent for you, and I don't need you to confirm its worthiness. Please ignore if they are too painful for your eyes.
I know how things will turn out if I start throwing insults back at people, and I won't stoop myself to that kind of level, so I am not going to do that. I m just disappointed this is how a white haired old man, with years experience in life, conduct himself I realized words (e.g. dumb troll) tend to associate themself very well with their user.
Don't associate myself with you (pot or kettle), I don't fancy being a DIRT like yourself.

Pot, meet kettle. You needn't "start" throwing insults "back" at people, because you already started.
