They give eachother a cover save...but since 50% of them are shooting through your own unit they give cover to whatever they are shooting at as well.

Which means absolutely nothing if the checkering units have AP5 weapons and their targets have 4+ or better saves...

Eldrich storm does not have rules for scattering in its description. Also it counts as firing a weapon, but you did NOT fire a weapon. Counts as, and doing something are 2 different things.

Hold on, let me get back to Strongbad, Marx, Jack Black, Keith Moons, Muad'dib, Bruce Dickinson, Dr.Tran, Pete Townsends, The Vault Dweller, and the Muffin Man.

No. What you did was use a psychic power that uses the Shooting rules unless noted otherwise. It doesn't matter if you didn't fire a weapon, it still uses the same rules. The question is does the rules for Eldritch Storm indicate a change to the Shooting rules so that the power does not scatter.

I have to agree with Ghaz here, A shooting psychic attack uses the same rule as shooting. I don't see your agrugment cocaloch.

It also does not have rules for wounding, yet you do get to do that, right?
