I like th epilot without the windscreen, makes it more Waaaagh

Maybe make the plate smaller, so you don't completely obscure that great pilot from the front. He may even be the type that loves having the wind in his face.

Yeah, the 'windsheild' needs to be much smaller, I think he should be peering over the top of it, not through a hole in it - proper armour protection would be much too sensible for an ork.

I woke up after a nap today and went right back to work on the project. Took another look at it and ripped it off. cuttin it down and ork-ing it up! ^^

Turret is still in phase I. waiting for gap-fill to dry now.

Consider using some form of transparent plastic with suitable damage. I once saw a looted war walker as a killa kan, and the ork player cut a jagged section out of it and added some scratches. It looked awesome.

Wow, so the internet at my place has taken a liking to booting me for days/hours/minutes at a time.
While this killed my internet activity, I did in fact get a bit done on the hammerhead.

Very nice! All you need now is a looted drone, just have an ork boy or grot hanging on for dear life! I really like the cockpit and I like this conversion, not seen many like it. ^_^

I got a bunch of the turret done today.

My concept is that each barrel is essentially a single-shot, large-caliber rocket or shell. Arranged similar to an orky vision of the SkyRay.

Those are gonna be some big rokkits...

Nah, it's looking pretty good. The rivets are a good addition. Kinda wish i was an ork player so i could completely tear into my tau vehicles like this.

Are you going to add wheels or something? And what's happening with the side booster things?

Grot-Rokkits are gonna be another project already have spare heads that i picked out

And Im actually keepin it as a skimmer. I think it looks nicer that way instead of wheels (and on top of that, it means I dont have to buy wheels! xD)

And the side booster things are gonna still be there, i just haven't popped em on in a while. the one on the right side I actually popped off, painted completely differently and put on in a really weird angle with a bunch of wires showing.
My concept there was to make it appear as though the entire right side of the tank was ripped open in an explosion. this is reflected in scorch marks around the door (or where it used to be), as well as the front-right 'fin'.

You should fill those tubes with multiple small rockets.

I love it, as long as the rokkits aren't silver too it'll look good.

It may need some grot periscopes or targeters on the turret to show that the crew really "appreciates" getting to fire the mess of rokkits at things themselves.

At this point, most of the painting's done.

Im wondering what to do with the plating over the back end of the tank.
I dont know if I want it all red, or what else to do.
On the engine (not pictured) I have a worn piece of Blood Angels iconography, while on the turret itself, I have a chunk of the desert camo colored.

So Dakka, What should i do to this plating?

Well, I saw a post by someone else about using just paint pigments and some sort of sealing agent. It gave a REALLY good rust effect,

write "gork n mork rokz" in blood on it, purple blood because thats tau blood

ok whatever, COBALT blood trailing out of a cut off tau head used as a pen and then nailed to the plate. How would that not be sick ????

hmmm.... I like the idea of the head, but at the moment I think its too late.
I dont think I can find a place that would work out.

However the graffiti in blood can be done quite nicely
I have a color mix in mind that could work.
Probably pop it on the top back plate or the front-left 'wing' plate next to the cockpit.

Needs a big Stompa style face glyph on the front of the turret with glowing sensor eyes.

disappointed but true but still yeaa get some blood graffiti going on !!!

Chestnut ink gives a pretty good weathered affect on silver .
