Quantum Leap had its moments al right. Like the episode where he had to give birth.

Man that was a fantastic show (and had one of the best opening monologues). Was it ever resolved?

I like the episdoe where he was an african american Blues Piano player.

@BrookM: Your new Avatar is slightly creepy, but at least I don't think your a chick anymore.

Final Episode:

The series is somewhat unusual in that it has a science fiction premise, but little science fiction- or fantasy-oriented storytelling, instead focusing on the personal journeys of Sam and the people he encounters. Even in its final episode, the show refuses to resolve many of its own technical and holistic questions, choosing instead to leave things open-ended and focus tightly on what is arguably the series' overarching message: that a single person can change the world, one life at a time.

The final episode was in fact intended to be an end-of-season cliffhanger, but after the series was not renewed for a sixth season, it was revised to function as a series finale.[citation needed] The original ending had Al's Vietnam-era picture "leaping" into a portrait of Al sitting with Beth and their four adult daughters. In both the alternate ending and the episode as broadcast, the leap effect eventually recedes into darkness, and text on the screen informs us that "Dr. Sam Beckett never returned home."

That kind of sucks...

Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis are my favourites. Doctor Who is pretty much even with them (but the Weeping Angels really scared me), and I'd actually have to say Star Wars: Clone Wars is high on the list. Call me childish, but I think it's good.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.

I really like that series, too. A lot of it is better than Episodes 1 and 2.

Misfits of Science was pretty awesome for the short time it was on.

I haven't watched much TV lately. I hear Heroes is pretty interesting... at least the 1st season...

Of the Star Trek series' I mostly watched TNG though I did enjoy a bit of Voyager and DS9 as well... not so much Enterprise... but only because that is when I kind of stopped watching TV.

Firefly I watched after watching Serenity. Great Series.

Some other ones I might want to try out are some of the more recent Doctor Who and Torchwood.

The Dr Who that really freaked me out was in the first series of the remake (with Christopher Eccelstone, rather than David Tennant) and it was a two parter. It took place in WW2 London and involved people's faces turning into gas masks and they became a sort of zombie that walked around calling for it's mummy. It freaked the crap out of me!

The Clone Wars is damn good too. I've only seen one or two episodes, but I really enjoyed it.

Stargate (all the series)- well writen, good story line you can see it happening right now.

Firefly- in Australia we only got the first season I would have loved to see the how the story line would have gone.

We don't get many sifi shows here in Autralia.

Unless you pay for Austar or Foxtel, then you get the SciFi channel like me.

Firefly only ran for one season. Not even that actually, it was cancelled after 17 episodes. One of the biggest mistakes Fox ever made. I recommend buying the boxset, it's brilliant. Some of the cast commentaries are really good, especially Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyek's commentary on the episode 'War Stories', its hilarious .

If you like Firefly watch Dr. Horrible's Sing Along blog. Joss Whedon made it during the writer's strike for laughs. Plus it's got the NPH.
