Thanks for all the advice guys, sounds like I need to rob a bank to play an
IG army with any kind of effectiveness...all my guard stuff was purchased during 2nd Ed...when I wasn't married with a kid and a mortgage...
So I need more tanks, a couple of valks, and a crap-ton more guardsmen. I like the Inquisitor with Mystics idea, 32 points...wow! I gotta get that new demolisher tank and magnetize the weapon options...try them all out, see how well that new punisher works too.

This means that the models cannot charge in the Assault phase, only shoot. And a Terminator Assault Squad has no ranged weapons.
Yeah, they were. They didn't do anything that first turn except land exactly where my opponent wanted them (within 6" of the
LS Storm) right in front of my lines. It was turn 2 after I failed to kill any of them, that they proceeded to wade through my army.

Those were Assault Terminators. Your Vets will shoot 12 plasma shots, kill 2.2, and then die. 5 Ogryns will probably/perhaps kill one with shooting, and 1-2 on the charge - and in all likelihood not lose a single model (2.5 wounds and one can go on the Bone'ead). They will then serve to hold those Assault Terminators in place for the rest of the game.
Yeah, I killed 1 (ONE!) termie with the ripper guns, and proceeded to assalut them. Killed NONE on the charge, he dropped 1.66 Ogryns, I failed my leadership check, and ran. He couldn't sweeping advance....but it didn't matter, I was still too close to them to rally in the following turn, and they proceeded to run off the board...so I didn't even get to fire at them while retreating.
