By the way does anyone know more about Shepard Book's past? I know they had planned to reveal it over time in the series, but obviously that never happened. Is there any official fiction that goes into the details? I have in my head that in his past he was an Alliance special agent, like the villian in the film.

Ah...Christina Henrdicks....quite a lovely, lovely actress.

She's on the show Mad Men at the moment.

Finished the Series and watched Serenity last weekend. It was a very bittersweet experience for me. I knew the story behind what had happened to the show and remembered what happened to the characters in the movie so I thought I was prepared.

I really, really liked the show. Nothing I can say hasn't already be said about it, but I thought the characters were fantastic, the theme of a western space worked for me. I really liked the theme song as well. Now my wife on the other hand doesn't like science fiction or westerns so she didn't dig it, but I did catch her asking questions during the show.

I would say my favorite character was either Mal or Kaylee. Kaylee for her spunk and enthusiasm (plus she is pretty cute), Mal because he is a badass, but also knows when to run away as well. I would say Jayne as well, but in the long run (if the show had continued) his character would have gotten old.

Favorite episode is probably the 2-part pilot (if you can call it that). Train Job was pretty good as well.
