I've been waiting for a non-strategy 40k game FOREVER. I was actually thinking of a 40k mmofps/rts/rpg game, but this will suffice until my friend can program and I enslave him. Woohoo!

The big choppa ork and the rokkit boy i'm diggin, but the shoota looks too small to me, i get that theres probably a limit on how big you can make it, but it just looks off to me.

I agree, the restrictions of the engine are a blessing in disguise. No longer do orks have legs that couldnt possibly support or move them - I really like it
Im sure plenty will disagree, but instead just enjoy seeing your favourite passtime portrayed in a different light

It's not perfect because the engine isn't designed for it, but I don't care. I can't wait.

Update 1st October 2009
The worldspace is taking some time getting perfect, which is still holding up trailer production, but we have a few more things for y'all to see.
First up, Squigs! Everyone's favourite red balls of teeth and anger are now in everyone's favourite game. Continuing our trend they are both comical and somewhat more realistic and less comic-y, suitable for a serious RPG like WARP. And they are hilarious!
and a squigskebab (impaled squig)
And we have some new terrain for ya - tabletop spikeballs! I'm sure we all remember these as the staple of 40k desert terrain, a bit of polystyrene, some toothpicks, goblin green and blood red, and there ya go, a new forrest with no need for flock. Expect more TT inspired scenery soon.
Finally, our thorough approach shown off in some new perk icons. Dont those perk names make you salivate too? Our scripting genius is making them all come to life, and they are all far more interactive and involving than the paltry stat boosts that FO3 offered us.
And there will be over 40 of them to pick and choose from, with multiple levels of each.
Honestly the worldspace is almost done, so more updates soon.
SMZ
ps our other folks are working on some pretty cool projects too. Hold your breath, I dare ya.

Hmmm....
A late suggestion, but couldn't the Ork just have a Big Shoota, rather than an Orky Heavy Bolter?

Are you trying to say Ork weapons have a standard form? These ARE Orks we're talking about; I'd imagine rokkits can be everything from a looted Imperial rocket launcher to a shoulder-mounted catapult loaded with a squig full of explosives.
|
As a rule of thumb, the designers do not hide "easter eggs" in the rules. If clever reading is required to unlock some sort of hidden option, then it is most likely the result of wishful thinking.
But there's no sense crying over every mistake;
You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Well...no. It just doesn't, IMHO, look very, "orky" Perhaps more gubbinz are required?

Just to make sure you are talking about the weapon that is 2 tubes welded together, with orky glyphs all over it and exposed pipes and bolts?
The close ups up the page look very orky to me
Will make sure we load more gubbinz on future weapons though

Sorry bout that, fixed. Not much marine-y up at the moment, that is cerberos' armour (we have a few secret marine projects happening currently, have to wait)
Also added a new heavy armoured ork to the first post, still a bit wip, needs some colour and a bosspole, a few touchups
enjoy
