Its 300 miles to Philly?

Dunno....if you are going to Showcase Comics, have fun!

Showcase is in Philly? We thought it was Pittsburgh for some reason. So 160 miles insn't too bad............. Course, I never get to play anyways, I'm always the guy that runs the local event. Flying home for my mother's 70th birthday this weekend anyways.
And I think most of our local players are attending a local charity tourney this weekend instead of driving to Ard Boyz.

Thanks for the tip! Dunno if I'll make breakfast, but hopefully we'll draw each other in one of the rounds. I'll be the guy with the (mostly) converted Daemons.

I think that Ernie's took a while to fill up because it's the same weekend as the OFCC, an invitational 2 day tournament with 80+ players.

The location I'll be playing at also lost a decent chunk of the actual winners from the first round because of another invetational tourny being hosted the same weekend as the second round of Ard Boyz. On the bright side I guess I'll be playing a decent amount of lower ranked players. We'll see if that helps my 45 KP ultrablue's win again. NOTE: I Managed to find away to put more kill points in the army than I did for the first round! So now its 45 KP for the first round of the semi's. I've maxed out every FO slot available to me.

See you in the semi's!

Arkansas is actually a great place if you get away from Little Rock (one of many armpits of the world). I'd love to know what decision process GW used to determine Semi-Final locations.

The Events team (ie Games Day planners/organizers) had nothing to do with it. The Ard Boyz is a Retail (Trade Sales?) operation. Locations were determined by Retail, not Events. When I tried to get an answer as to why VA, with 9 prelims, didn't have a semi location while PA, with 7 prelims, does have a semi location, I didn't really get any answer other than maybe we'll switch it around next time.......

Oh. Trolls are useless.

Who the hell let the trolls organise a tournament?

(for the un-initiated, the trolls are the chaps in sales, usually reffering to the callcentre blokes)

Simply put: Just like all my other competitive play, I'm taking first... err I mean Orks.

On a slightly more serious note, I kinda look forward to getting beaten. Been a while, and from what I've heard I'll be having a pretty good chance of it at Phoenix down here in the ATL(ish).

Variety of reasons. I have to get the stuff ready for the Fantasy Slaughter, for which there is going to be a test run with BBQ at one of the league's house Saturday. I also am not much of a fan of the venue and the pro-smurf direction that the game has taken pretty much has deflated a lot of my interest in the game. I enjoy rolling out the big bugs, but I just don't feel like going 3-0 again in the semis and not advance because of people point trading and myself not playing cutthroat enough.

41 confirmed for the semi-finals in PA, at the moment. A few have called to drop out, and I haven't heard if replacements are on the way.

Edit: Make that 44 now. Finished 4 tables today. Time to make 2 more tomorrow. How many folks are going register on the last day??
