We've had two locally. One only did trading cards and GW figures, the other only did GW figs and boardgames. The latter expanded it's range after a couple of years especially after FoW came along, but only lasted another couple of years. The other closed at about the same time (in the last couple of years) but had been going for many years earlier (I remember back when they still stocked Bloodbowl!). During the time they held tourneys/games they were both run along GW lines, since they wanted you to buy your stuff from them if possible.

I actually asked a GW Oz HQ member this question (Dave Taylor, back when he used to be an Australian ). He was pretty frank about it and said they were watching the sales of the stockists and, if all went well they would see if they could get a store in a shopping centre in the area, for the passing traffic. Though this was oh, at least nine or ten years ago, and there's still no sign of a GW, though stockists come and go, so I guess not as well as they hoped

Munich had one. One store for GW stuff and its neighbor selling non-GW tabletop and roleplay stuff.
Both stores had the same owner, but seperate entrances and rooms.

GW isnt that near and also not in a premium location, more a shoddy little backstreet...

I doubt it was GW that got them to move to a new location. Now this flgs provides everything, GW-stuff is also there but no more exclusive as they were before.
