Do IG mortars have prox fuses? I'm inclined to say no since safety features don't seem to be high on the imperium's list of priorities...

You might be right... I remember our shells have to make a certain amount of rotations to become armed. I'm sure the IG would have a similar system just so that their precious weapon systems don't get damaged... I'm sure the soldiers manning the weapon are completely expendable though

The question I have is this...
Can you deploy the chimera with the normal IG squad that it attaches to OUTSIDE the chimera, and then deploy the heavy weapon squad INSIDE the chimera?

That will give another turn of shooting as your not running your heavy weapons into the tank.

You can't deploy another unit inside of transport dedicated to another unit, that other unit wound need to spend a movement phase mounting up.

I would think not, for coherency and embarking/rules purposes. I'm sure Gwar! can quote a page or rule.

page 67, Dedicated Transport Box. As you can see, no other unit can start inside that Chimera, you have to deploy outside and spend a movement phase getting inside.

No its called whining, if its legal and allowed from your codex how can it be cheap? Apparently its considered cheap to use your armies strengths.its usually only the typically un popular armies that get called cheap or when something new comes out and players cant handle it they start crying. I am so glad I very rarely run into these sort of players who whine when someone does something they dont like or cant easily defeat, but the good thing is they usually tend to alienate everyone and are forced to beat up on their little brother in their moms sewing room using the same combos that they cried about last weekend. "Boo hoo he came at me with a tactic/combination I was expecting and I lost, thats so cheap" Its called being a poor sport and typically gets you blackballed fairly quickly. I guess all sports have to deal with it in one way or another I know even in physical sports you get the odd people who cry when they get beat. Anyway, sorry for jacking the thread, we now return you to your program already in progress.
