The new Leman Russ Demolisher with a tank sprue bought on the side is now close to $65.

Same amount of plastic...

This is such a ripoff that I would urge people to simply not purchase them. I'm tempted to call up their mail order line and complain about it. Before I wrote this thread, I almost called their mail order line because I assumed it was missing the tank sprue.

Yeah... the GW sales man here in MD told me that the New Guardsmen squad came with an extra spur for the troops... So i bought one to see what it was... it was exactly 1/2 of the old box set so i went back the next day and told him, and his reply was, "That is what they told me"

he is a great salesmen, but i believed him when he told me that.

If it were me, I would call their corporate office and complain about that guy by name. It's technically illegal to misrepresent a product and given that the whole price hike on Cadians is a ripoff to begin with, let them know how you feel.

Oh they knew I was mad, but they all told me that is what they were told (I was one of the first buyer for that product in the store and the First to complain).

They either lied, or they're slowed. I knew for weeks that the change was coming and bought up old 20 man boxes of cadians.

AAAANYWAY. I suggest mass letters complaining about these pointless price hikes. If it doesn't change anythign, at the very least, it'll clog up their mail boxes for a while.

Yeah, I wish I knew myself... I was in a middle of a move when they came out... Just got to my new home the weekend before they were released and never looked up the stuff... I just trusted the sales people.

Protip: Letters are more formal, and thus taken more seriously. Likewise, their physical presence means that the clogging is that much more pronounced.

It's 'Sprue', and you likely picked up the old 3rd/4th ed Russ if it had one. Did it come in a big box with an all-green Russ on the front unloading all of it's barrels in the middle of a rainstorm? If so, then yea that's the old box that still has it. Snatch as many of those as you can.

The new box is about half the size, has a boring photoshopped picture of a Russ in the most mind-numbingly static position, and has a grey border. These boxes have no tank sprue and you'll have to either order a sprue seperately, or buy a Chimera with it if you want any accessories for it.

I do think its dumb not to include something like that in a box set. They didn't take these sprues from their money makers, the space marines.
