at least there wasn't 3 or 4 to choose from - those GW Slannesh models still creep me out.

2014 will be the year of zero GW purchases. Kneadite instead of GS, no paints or models. 2014 will be the year I finally make the move to military models and away from miniature games.

Miniature photos need some serious cropping. The mini I see is amazing though!

Ok.

The IE re-direct issue should be fixed now. If your page has cached you might need to hold shift while you refresh it. The site will look pretty broken in IE6, its tested in IE7, but untested in IE8. Apparently it was redirecting people with IE8 too. I apologize to anyone that found the message offensive, it was just a hold over we had honestly forgotten about. If you are a die-hard IE6 fan, I am sorry but I am currently unsure if will ever fully support it.

Thank you.

And if you are using IE6 you need to upgrade.

OT: The mini looks pretty cool, would like to see scale comparisons as well.

Beautiful.

If it was to 28mm heroic scale I'd have bought it and likely some of the rest of the intended range if they are sculpted to that level. Unfortunate that it's 35mm, it's really nice but not in scale with the rest of my figures.

Nice concept art. The figures are well sculpted but I'm generally opposed to buying resin.

As for the browser/website issues.....who in their right mind still uses Internet Explorer? (unless you are browsing from work, that's understandable)

The irony of this statement is that I use IE6 from work, and I can navigate the site just fine.

Not liking the torpedo tits look of the miniature, way too male fantasy oriented.

Not that I mind attractive looking female models, but there's ways to make them appealing without going that route.

I keep watching this thread hoping for more information and pictures of the player characters. This game has me interested, but I require more background and such! Do you have any writers currently working on this stuff?

@Archonate,

Here is some more info on the White Speaker Class, just a repost from the website.

I'll be posting more information about them, the other classes, monsters, game world, game mechanics... slowly. Just one small manageable piece at a time. Otherwise... I don't think I could ever keep up with it all!

White Speaker
Tall strong women who's ferocity is only matched by their deep mystery. Through sadistic rituals and dangerous story telling traditions they balance the twisted nature of kingdom death and can manipulate the "other" through unique blood techniques.

Speaker Cult
Veils worn by the devotees represent a past shrouded in guilt and secrets. The White Speaker cults are forbidding, rituals of blood and delirious narration keep most people clear. The number of White Speaker remains constant, as one dies another is initiated; too few and they would disappear and too many might create a blood frenzy that the speakers fear they could not control.

The Chanting Ritual
White speakers power is rooted in the names and tales of things. Elder speakers share stories with young listeners bound in chains. The secrets and lore she chants drive them into violent twisted seizures as they try to absorb the words of power. Speakers learn in layers and riddles to protect their mind from dismantling under the weight of what they know.

How They Play
White Speakers offer tactical diversity. Effective in melee and at range, but lacking armor. However, their ability to change what "stories" they have on tongue opens a wealth of options. Blood transferring, scab armor and stopping the flow of blood to monster hearts are some examples.

The website issue is caused by Microsoft adhering to international HTML standards in their recent browser, while in their older browsers they only adhered to their own proprietary standards.

As the number of properly compliant browsers (including IE8, Firefox and the others) rises, owners of sites built to support IE6- need to reconvert their HTML to the international standard.

It's questionable whether it is worth downgrading a site built for IE8 etc to be compatible with IE6, because IE6 is now an obsolete, legacy browser and it's easy for users to get a better browser.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

*UPDATE - MINI SIZE COMPARISON PHOTOS

As requested by the kind people here at dakka, I took a few quick comparison photos of the white speaker and other more commonly used miniatures.

The White Speaker mini is one of the largest player characters, they are tall and fierce women. The majority of the other characters are around 36mm instead of 38mm and the monsters vary hugely. Some are around the same size, some are big and some are HUGE. So far there are no monsters in the range that are smaller then the humans... actually looking over the list here... there are not monsters even PLANNED smaller then the player characters. Well not yet at list.

That's excellent and far smaller than I imagined, you're sure that's not 28mm?

Would look great for a slaaneshi champion, a woodelf wardancer or mage...

My interest just grew 10fold.

Well, games workshop scale is a very special 28mm "heroic". The size is measured from the foot the mini to the eyes. Their lord of the rings game is a much more strict 28mm compared to their fantasy and 40k range which varies pretty wildly.

So the white speaker is about 38mm from her foot to her eyes. For the most part kingdom death stuff should be suitable for hero's and lords, but I don't see them doing too well as infantry.

"dangerous story telling traditions "
That has to be one of the funnier sentance fragments I read this week.
Thoughts of story telling while riding angry bears, or while walking tight ropes sprang to mind.

I suppose it makes a bit more sense in the context of the over all setting's backstory, but I might put forth that your fluff writer is either really heavy handed for the subject matter, or that is just awkwardly written and needs editing.
