LOVE the Solitaire... although you've turned up the pressure on painting a model to match the build work. I've got faith in your abilities though
It looks chillingly good.

Did a little bit of more work on the solitaire, carved out the eye that won't be glowing and fixed some areas of the hair with GS.
I should really push with the build now, but I wan't to paaaaaint... and that happens rarely
And the Space Hulk Termies are starting to call me names for not painting them.

The solitaire is impressive, I love it. If you don't mind my asking, what tool(s) do you typically use when chopping on a metal fig?

Wow! Love your eldar. And you continuing to paint these give me motivation to finish mine. I should actually get something done. I've spent my hobby time lately just gaming. And gaming with half finisshed army usually means big changes in the armylist...

Hey Jamo! What's up? Next time wee see in a tournament it's civil war, eh??
Thought for the day - I've always regretted not finishing stuff the most. Nearly happened to this army because the basing wasn''t perfect and the Dire Avengers had the wrong execution. So I have to relax standards with playing armies, IF it starts to jeopardize the whole project.
Managed to convert the Eldrad count as today - also mostly a painting piece, but a subtle arm swap and head tilt really gave him a "my farseer" look. Also scratch building some harlequin kisses and came up with a nice, "firedragon past" mix scheme for the Wraith Lord (who's supposed to be the last in line for painting, but it seems I take refuge from the rigid order of things in real life to brake every plan in the hobby life... Thank god Grey Death is as all over the place as I am and seems to be enjoying it such as much!

Looks like that, yellow eldar against other. Should get the eldar done for Turku fanatic next month currently 3 tanks and squad of avengers undercoated, and I should finsih converting autarch, farseer and jetbikes. Then I should paint the remaining squads (hawks, spiders, reapers etc.) for Apocalypse around christmas and after that it's back to the forces of chaos with some tanks for my word bearers and upgrading the daemon contigent to army sized. It'll be 10 years 40k next year for me and I'm celebrating it with 10k of painted forces
Hopefully you get these eldar done soon, I can't count the times that I've been watching these photos drawing inspiration and motivation to get my own models done. Been waiting the 'migsula treatment' for Eldar ever since we played years ago when new codex was just coming out and you talked about doing eldar next

Your stuff is still looking great. I see some green stuff on the harlequin next to the solitaire, but I can't see what it is.... is it a sash or a belt or something similar?
If you're doing a blog on your SH painting, any chance you'd post the thread? It's really cool seeing your stuff progress.

Solotaires are the only harlequins who can play the role of Slaanesh during the plays they do. As such Slaanesh and the Laughing God then have to try to claim the poor halrequins soul when the solotaire dies, which more often than not goes to Slaanesh.
With how the holosuits and masks work in battle, projecting the opponents fear I think it's a really nice conversion and fitting with the role they play in the troupe. Some really amazing conversions, even the simple things stand out very well, and love the yellow colour scheme, makes me regret redoing my eldar from an Iyanden type scheme to an ulthwe scheme simply to speed my repainting up of the army.

Good looking wraithlord, the built-up head works nicely to give him a more solid feel. Very solid pose too, as he strides over / stomps on whatever that thing on his base is (I thought demonette at first, but not so sure any more).
Will be interested to see how the solitaire comes together with paint. Currently the plastic 'nette parts really jump out at me, especially the extra claw arms ...

The head is actually atleast a 3rd smaller in volume than the real thing! That's what gives the WL a nice solid, powerful feel - no banana head - I sculpted straight on the part that goes inside the real head. Automatically Appended Next Post: Müller wrote:oh BTW, you live in Stockholm?
