Over all , i like the paint job , side looks great.
But the front looks abit plain / empty compared to the other sides. Perhaps some more decorations?

As far as the force weapon goes the staff part is from an old Tigiruis that I took apart and the blade top is two space marine daggers cut and glued and the bottom is like the top of something that had a little eagle head... cant remember what right now came with tac squad I think.

Could I convince you to make me a few sheets of blood ravens decals, too?

Nice icon change Roleplayer. As far as the decals go I was actually using my finances printer and it actually doesn't print them very well but its enough for me cuz I just use them as a reference. And yes the back of the tank is a decal that I have painted over. All of the ravens are pure black and red decals that have been completely painted over. I am not that great at freehand yet, haven't had a chance to really take a art class.

As far as WIP pics go I guess I could post more the problem is allot of the stuff I have is already assembled because its from back when I was first getting into space marines and well.. I had a really bad habit of waiting till near the time of a local tournament and running out and getting what I want and throwing it together. Some of the stuff I actually converted a little but the majority of it is pretty plain base space marines.

On the other hand I did just use my new air brush and now I went from having everything black to now everything is Red Gore, which will make painting everything ALLOT faster. So I guess I can post the pics of them being red tomorrow when everything is done.

sorry I forgot to mention it earlier, but i really do enjoy your painting style. I'm jealous of you tank by the by, great stuff.

Awesome Predator, dude! Good luck when/if you get and use the Microscale transfer stuff, too. Here's some tips for their use:

Micro-Set - Brush onto the clean surface of where you'll be applying the decal. Use plenty if you wish. Then quickly slide the decal onto the surface. Apply more if necessary to re-adjust it. Let it dry. To soften and glue it a little bit more, apply more of this stuff again over the now stuck down decal; or if you want it to look even better, follow the next step...

Micro-Sol - Make sure that the Micro-Set has completely dried. Now, grab your brush and apply it all over the decal. ATTENTION: ONCE APPLIED, DO NOT TOUCH THE DECAL, DON'T EVEN LOOK AT IT. Why? Because the decal will probably shrivel up and look horrible. Don't worry, though - Just let the Micro-Sol do it's work. Once completely dry, apply again as you see fit. The same will most likely happen again, but like before - Don't panic.

You should get really good results out of this. Look for these products on the web. Yes, there are others out there, but these are the ones that I know all about. I hope that helps.

ok so time for a big WIP update. This stuff was all airbrushed mechrite red and then air brushed red gore. So what I am working on is basically my small point tournament list aka 1500. Although figures that now that I start painting it my local group is changing over to 1750 list so I still need to decided on what to add to this list. guys I started painting before my airbrush, ALLOT slower.


So thats the list and the pics of guys like I said I still need to figure out 250 more points.. I think I need some more anti tank, maybe some fast attack. Something like oh 6 bikers a sergeant with meltabombs, 2 meltas, and an attack bike with a multi melta. I think I need something that is good anti tank and accurate.

thanks for all of the complements so far guys, I hope to have allot more painted soon but I am going to take a break for some of this week to get a few other things painted up to sell so I can make some cash to throw at some more stuff (mostly for my VC's that I am starting).

night ya'll

OK so I didn't get anything done the last few days on my other marines I am going to sell so I am a few days behind. I just want people to know I haven't forgotten about my ravens and hopefully next week I will start back up on them. So in the mean time I was wondering if there was anything in my list/pics that people would want to see painted first. I plan on finishing at least a full 10 man tac squad and besides that do people want me to do one of the tanks or what. Let me know and I should get started on that stuff at the start of next week.

Nice work mate. The Librarian is especially impressive. It looks like you have some work to do seing all those primed models. Airbrushed ones look nice, have an interesting shine to them...

wow.. so I really hate neglecting these guys but time isn't something I have had lately the full explanation is over in the smurfs blog, the link is up a few posts. I personaly think they look ace. They are very crisp and you should keep painting. Are you going to put heavy bolters on the sides?

That's a fair bit of stuff you have basecoated. I quite like the predator and the test marine, but can't say I'm a fan of the librarian. It's a good paint job and conversion, but I'm just not a fan of beakie headed librarians for some reason.

Fatninjo2012, I am going to put hvy bolter sponsons on the side of the tank. Once I get my smurfs done I am going to paint those then finish off a 10 man squad of marines. Then... well I'm debating between a rhino or starting on the Termies, prolly a rhino just to do something thats not a squad of dudes, then I will do termies.

you wanted fst attack for 250 points IMHO I would go for a land speeder squad rather than bikes. kit one with multi-melta, one with heavy bolter/assault cannon and one with heavy bolter/heavy flamer or another multi-melta.

Is that shoulder pad fully freehand ? If so, you don't need to use transfers ! it looks great especially the shading on the blood-drop.

I find that freehand always looks better than transfers anyway, and its much more satisfying as a painter.

OK so that is what I have right now for you. I have been working on a few other things of my own and I will actually get around of posting some pics of that stuff either tomorrow or the day after. The next thing I am going to be working on is some high elf stuff that my brother gave me. I have 10 older phoenix guard and 5 swordmasters that I will be painting up and selling later. After that its back to blood angels for a bit when I do some sanguinary guard and who knows maybe after all that I will get around to doing some of my own stuff. I have been playing Warmachine allot lately and haven't really touched my 40K stuff and prolly wont for a while longer. What I will be doing when I actually get started working on my own stuff is some Khador for Warmachine. Since I have been playing I actually played in a tourney and got an invite to the Pax west masters tournament on that Sunday at the convention so I really want to get a good army painted up for that. I already got started on my Khador painting my Sorcha model and my female man-hunter but after playing more and tooling around with lists I might actually be switching over to using the Butcher so I will see what I am doing with that later when I get closer to finishing what I have planned now. So that is whats going on with painting for me. I am sorry to say that my ravens are going to be on the back burner for quite a while as on the horizon is fantasy 8th edition and after looking at the rules I am REALLY stoked for that so there is a small chance that I finally start working on my Vamps in the near future. well hope you all comment on my stuff and let me know aht you think and I will be watching my blog allot more now so except answers fairly fast.
