Totally agree with Slappywag: You've made some of the worst models in the entire GW range look amazingly good! They should give you some kind of award for this

I have been toying with the idea of starting a tzeentch army for some time now but had no idea how to convert the god0awful models i'd need. You, sir, are an inspiration.

I was going to say Spawn 1 was the best plastic-spawn I'd ever seen... Then i saw Spawn 2.
The DP is pretty awsome too, i like the green vomit-tongue. I cant see any stitching on the DP though. I liked the Stitching, it was sadistic

When you call an intimate moment with your partner "the Assault Phase"

Is that followed by a pile-in move?

That brings a whole new meaning to the term "Hit and Run"

Can that be following a deep strike, or do you have to wait until the next round?

There are stitches on the areas that overlap on him if you look closely though, best visible in the picture taken from his back (around where the spines mutated from his backback come together). Not to the same extent as in the spawns though, I figured I'd use it more on them as they are bizarre to start with.

Ahh, thankyou. I see them, and like them.(alot!)
Are there any in the back of the knee joints? I cant see them myself...
Infact, i'll stop worrying about minute details of a brilliant pain job and start building anticipation for whatevers next

Autumn vacation, and some time on my hands, so here come the Horrors and the Changeling. They have a lot of mould flaws, they are of complicated shape, they refuse to stay in one piece and there's a hell lot of them. What's not to like? No stitches on these guys, but instead I will be painting an equal number of them in the standard red and blue of my army theme.

I looked at the Daemons Codex for a basic pic of the Changeling, and modeled him somewhat accordingly. At first I thought of a more glorious staff, but in the end I figured I liked the good ole' wooden stick look for him,
as he is a ragged hunchback hermit of doom and fire afterall. I painted some golden embroidering onto his rags (which were hard to photograph for some reason) which form a slightly warped Mark of Tzeentch.

Here's the bunch of painted minis so far, progressing slowly and purposefully. Next up perhaps a Soul Grinder!

How did you paint that blue and pink exactly? Mind giving us a quick rundown?

Listen, my children, as I pass onto you the truth behind Willy Wonka and his factory. For every wonka bar ever created in existance, Mr. Wonka sacraficed a single Oompa Loompa to the god of chocolate, Hearshys. Then, he drank the blood of the fallen orange men because he fed them a constant supply of sugary chocolate so they all became diabetic and had creamy, sweet-tasting blood that willy could put into each and every Wonka bar. That is the REAL story behind willy wonka's Slaughter House!

Sure thing. Basically first I decide how to paint the minis (random stitched areas, pattern, anything?) And I basecoat the miniatures with Vallejo Electric Blue and Citadel Warlock Purple. Then I blend and highlight the Warlock Purple by adding pink to the mixture, and in the end some white. For the blue I just use pure white.

Awesome stuff Runic, I just love the colours you use. So vibrant and clean.

Lovely freehand in there too. I love the bases too!

What are you working on at the moment, or plan to start?

Of course, as an American, that means I must say that soccer sucks, and football (real football... you know, the one where you do everything with your hands) is 10,000 times as good. I mean, football players could probably beat up soccer players, even, because they actually know sports.

Do you intend to break up the colour scheme at all? Not that i'm complaining about the pretty pictures, just want to know if you're going to go outside the blues and pinks with some other units? And if so, how will you tie it all together?

P.s. You really should start a P&M blog. If you keep your standard up, you'll rival Lemmingspawn's thread

EDIT: The wooden stick is great; reminds me of the 'Wabberjack' from the Elder Scrolls games

I want better pictures. These are fine, they show the models, but I want to see more closeup work.

Obviously, as everyone has said, they're great. I just want to see more.

The color scheme is good, it's chaotic, it's very classic Tzeentch, without being something that's been done.

Ah well, it's the same bunch like in the post on Horrors with the exception of the Soul Grinder joining the ranks.
I'll promise to take one after the next object ( 9 Flamers, will take a while though ) is done, since I already packed all my lights
and the background back to the closet.

And yes, Kairon Faithweaver is coming indeed. But I'll save him for last, it would be lame to finish a long project with pics of Horrors when everything
big and mighty is done!

On the question regarding if I will ever paint different units in this army with a different theme/colours, the answer is probably not since I'm happy with the theme and they look unified on the table.

That Soul Grinder is especially awesome! Beautiful array of colours in the whole force really.

love how they look together, the horrors and changelings next to the spawns look like they have been stitched together to make them, a truly epic paint and amazing skill!

The spawn and the horrors look incredible. Your interpretation of the changling is dead on in my opinion!! The DP looks great but the painting on the head just seemed off to me but others love it so KUDOS heh. The painting of the Soul Grinder is great but for some reason it just looks off to me. I think it is because of the brilliance of the blues and purples making the silver look...well....just plain is the best explanation. Its like POP..POP....pop....hehe. It may be the pics as sometimes things just work better in person so I am looking forward to seeing this army in person!! Keep it up!

Haha, well if you happen to drop by in Finland, why not. Or by some accident I somehow end up in the 'states... was in Philadelphia once and took a road trip to Chigago though.

And thanks for moving the thread, for some reason I missed the blog section completely.
