Awesome, this is how all Tzeentchian Daemons should be; absurdly bright and colourful.

The great irony of life. Aslong as I can remember, from the very first Space Marine Terminator has my goal been to get a miniature to push past a rating of 9 at CMON. I finally did it, of which I'm very happy (thanks for the possible voters!) altough with just 40 votes since it wasn't there for too long. It just so happens the very miniature I reached my milestone with is the one I wasn't totally happy about, like I already edited into the Soul Grinder entry. I carefully chipped off paint, taped the shields and spots with blending in them, and sprayed and prayed, and then removed the miniature from all the galleries I put it in. I hope a single tape didn't end up loose, because it would really be a drag to repaint all the details. Wish me luck, and be prepared for the Soul Grinder reloaded, with many planned improvements!

I have so rarely ever said this even at games day while looking at demons but that thing is gorgous.

Now I'm happy with it myself aswell. The machine part looks a lot more coherent and bulky, and the colors, trims and the battledamage on the shield stand out much better. As I mentioned before, I went looking for a style similiar to those of GW's grinders, I'll just call it "black metal." I like that kind of texture a lot. The surface was created by first carefully dusting some Boltgun Metal glitters onto the surface with a really dried brush, this gave the black undercoat a texture. After that I created the highlights, and washed them with Thraka Green and Devlan Mud. Ontop of those, I ofcourse matt coated the surface. Other concretical additions include the sword blending to a pasty turqoise now, and I also painted some transparent looking runes on the blade. The color areas under the Grinders "knees" I removed wholly, they didn't please my eye afterall. Onto the claw I painted the scratched numbers "04" perhaps a company number of the long past defiler, or the makings of the Daemons, who knows? And the last but not the least, he now has exhaust pipes.

The "04" is sort of hard to read. Before I read your explanation I wasn't sure what was going on there. Maybe you can cut back on the scraped paint effect?

It might also just be clearer in person.

Wow, the colors of your army make my eyes want to bleed and my brain hurt. The Lord of Change would be proud of you I just can not paint anything that bright and be happy with it, probably for the afforementioned reason, but that screams Tizz with a touch of Slaanesh very well.

The blue is Vallejo Game Colors Electric Blue, blended and highlighted up to near pure white. The pink is a Warlock Purple basecoat, blended and highlighted up to 50% pink-white.
Regarding the project, the next update is going to take some time as I'm really busy at work and painting a few comissions. And there is 9 of the Flamers, so painting them all is going to take some serious hours.

It is also possible I might turn from the path of Tzeentch only and add other gods to my army aswell. This is because Tzeentch at the moment has very poor support from Apocalypse and Forgeworld. I'd love to paint one of those Forgeworld Great Unclean Ones!

Once again, absolutely amazing! The white lines on the purple patches give a really muscular look to his arms!

The black for the metal, highlighted by the yellow colours was genius! N wonder you got a 9 in whatever was ranking your model!
