Somewhere in south-central England.

One book I read said that when the British arrived in Australia they happened by luck to land at the wettest and most temperate part of the continent after it had been through a period of wet weather lasting some years. Thus the terrain looked lush and fertile and it got called New South Wales.

However, the normal weather patterns of Australia are much drier, plus they've had a bad drought this year, and the ecosystem has been disturbed by camels, sheep and rabbits, so it's not surprising to get dust storms.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

I can still see the sky in a lot of those shots.

This dust-storm stretched between two capital cities.

Therefore Australia = Awesome.

Didn't it also cover a fair bit of Victoria? Besides it had to travel from the center of the country just to get there as well

As I said, it was 500km wide and 1000km long - which is just shy of the size of the UK. It was massive.

It just brushed it on the sattelite image you posted on the last page. I thought it might have gone further into that that though.

I don't think it will make it to NZ, though it will be cool if it does.
