Alright, to keep this thread on track and clean, unless you have anything to add to the discussion (ie. pertinent info, or also calling out a bad trade with the Trader in Question), please do not post in this thread. I'm sure all of us can sympathize with the OP and others who have experienced bad trades, but let's leave this thread to just facts and details please.

That being said, Dispatch, it's clear that we're all willing to listen to your side of the story. I just sincerely hope that you can explain the situation without being insulting.

Well I know he's been banned on bartertown and rogue market for at the very least multiple accounts.

It's true that if you have used paypal to pay for stuff you havent recieved from him and it looks like you have been scammed paypal are great at looking at getting your money back. If there is that many against him they will obviously see there is no good going on also.

Getting the police is legitimate. He has taken your stuff and not paid what he said he would in return by the posts so far, and thats what some kid did through ebay selling the same non existant item to a few people on ebay a couple of years back in the UK, making thousands. He got done for fraud. I've even had to get the police involved in one ebay transaction when something similar to what is happening here happened to me, and through them it got sorted. It's funny how your posessions or money will suddenly be handed back to you when they're facing criminal charges.

First though check those tracking numbers, contact the mail service/courior and find out the package is ligit to save any problems. Only way to be fair.

@Dispatch the amount of people who seem to have had bad trades with you really doesn't reflect well on you, or that you have been banned on the trading sites. Your post gave very little real information and still people are posting saying you are avoiding them.

I can see why the Dakka forums have a general rule about not posting about the bad trades though. Obviously with this person being involved in so many I also understand why the mods have reopened the thread.

As many of you know, I am an Administrator on Bartertown (MagickalMemories there, too).
I can confirm that Dispatch and Abwher share an IP.

I can't confirm that they are, indeed, the same person, of course. I WILL tell you, though, that there were definite similarities in their trade ads.

Both have been blocked (in numerous fashions) on BTown. Their titles have been changed to show that they were banned for multi-accounting and their Avatars were changed to show it, too. Additionally, they earned a thread in our "Hall of Shame."

I know all of this because I confirmed the facts and did all of the ban-related actions myself.

Has anyone called the Surrey BC police department yet? I'm curious because I'm considering paying the international charges to do so. I would rather not if someone in BC would be willing to alert the local police department of this persons shady activities.

If he does not respond, and wish to ammend these issues - I highly suggest calling them - all together.

This is what we did to the New York Scam team. We nailed one guy real hard, other is still in loop.

However it had a profound effect - we were able to stop USPS to deliver packages to the scammers in prevention of further scamming.

I would contact,

Local PD + local Canadian postal - talking to the postal master/whoever is in charge, detailling that you wish to have your package on hold for possible criminal activity on destination. I'm sure they would do it too especially if everyone does this.

you want a response i will gladly give one, although you have already labled me a theif/Scammer. The Trade with Tamugo, i had to Resend all his stuff, hence why two shipping dates. As just a matter privacy use to send all packages as Dispatch as the return adress. Now there is a legitimate reason why i do this. Tam aka John, You have a tracking number, a customs number and a recipt number, i ensured it since i had to send it again. You all can label me wahtever you want hearing only 1/2 the story, but Caboose, hahaha he did not send anything, as i have asked him time and time again for a tracking number, or a confirmation or anything, for 2 weeks he sent me 1 word resonses, and now that he reads this thread he gets to play the Martyr. I have only used paypal, never hidden my adress or name, and if there are problems with trades, as there often is, ranging fomr minor to major i would liek to fix them. I go away for a few weeks with my wife, and when i come back my name is destroyed, and i am black listed as a criminal from 90% of people i have never dealt with. I have been in telephone contact people who i am trading with, and seriously, my name is garbage, and since the trouble started, some people have received their items, with the shipping date on the parcle as we originally agreed uppon, and they just forget to mention it publicly. And by "trouble" i mean taking an extra week or 2 to reach their destination. I have some packages that i am expecting and they are almost certainly later than the estinmated shipping that the post office gives. There is only 1 legitimate Bad trade that i did, and have since rectified, the parcel was withheld at the boarder and since a login name is all tahts on it, i have Re-sent another of the same item. Now, as for taht reason i only use dispatch as a return adress (Its a gamble, but if the person at customes is not a by the book when sending, it mostly goes through). If You look up The local News in Vancouver there is someon with the exact same last name as myself and my wife, but has no relation, that was sentanced to incarceration in februrary, for Big time Drug traffiking charges. Since our last name is not very common, everything i send there is a very good chance it gets held for a long time, and receiving too. Its not that they are investigating every nook and cranny of a space amrine, its jsut that the people who get the packages to inspect are backed up. The Main Admin Sam ****, ID Githros called me today and and i get to give my side and actualyl contact the people whith issues, and he took a look into some of their "claims" The vast majority are people who cannot give him any shred of proof that they sent anything, they jsut see a bad trader thread, jump on the band wagon and try to get something for nothing. If i have traded with you, Then we can go from there. If i have not, Worry about your own life, not the lives of others. JoshuaFalcon, He did not loose anything, i did. Also i have been traidng Only since July, and i have had 15 good and positive responses, no negatives untill now. People Read whats put up and take it as gospel, and mob rule comes in effect, but i am no criminal mastermind trying to scam peopel out of little plastic toys. I post the same trade on multiple threads, like many of you, to better the chances of someone who whats waht i am trading reading it. When Others do it, its jsut marketing, when i do it, its shady. 1 legitimate problem, that woudl have been fixed earlier if i was not out of town. I have taken great strides to make the people i trade with happy. Sometimes thigns happen, and i am certain anyone reading this has had at least a few minor issues when trading. Its not Black and white. Now for a personal touch, i truly Hate and am ashamed in the peopel who read these Bad trader trheads and see them as an opportunity to diliberately cheat people who cannot defend themselves. I get screwed, who is gonna help me, no one, because Despite the abscence of any proof, i am guilty in your eyes.

Also, I have a post office receipt that says I shipped my package, complete with customs form #. I sent 2 packages that day, and when asked if I wanted tracking information, I said yes, but the IQ-deficient postal worker only put it on the first package. But I still have the receipt and the customs # is available for anyone upon request. Just send me a PM. It has already been sent to Dispatch. He claims to have asked me for weeks for a tracking #. I have 1 pm asking for it, and I responded with an explanatory sentence, not a one word response as he claimed, both PM's are also available upon request. And yes I recently traded with Vindicator #9 and a fellow by the name of igor23. If you want an opinion on my trading habbits, ask one of them.

Also, d*** right I'm going to jump on the bandwagon against someone that I am trading with when its been two and a half weeks since you "shipped" your package on the same day I shipped mine. I am offering up relevant information showing that I shipped, I have seen nothing of the sort of openness on your part, towards myself or anyone else. Just your word.
