AAAAWWWWW This thread just got so sweet!

My wife doesn't play. She won't play. She does not begrudge me my gaming, and on occasion will come see me when I am stuck to the paint bar.
But she does like my gaming friends - so I think I'm doing ok.
(and she goes to the Gentlemans Clubs with me and my Air Force friends. I got lucky)

Crazy as this sounds, she may mean what she says. If she's offering you this opportunity, it seems to be silly to have to turn it back around to being about her again. I mean, where does that ever end?

You: "Thank you!"
Her: "No, thank you!"
You: "No, thank you!"
Her: "No, no, thank you!"
You: "No, really, please, thank you!"
.......

I've known and been friends with my wife for 25 years, with only a third of that being time in marriage. I'd hate to have to think that everytime she offered to be selfless, that there was a modicum of insincerity or selfishness behind her words. Take her at face value: go buy your Space Wolves.

Like you said , you cant find it or not sure if you can see it. Sort of like this picture:

Fair enough. The biggest problem is though, WHAT the frak does she want Most of the time they dont even know themselves. To the girlfriends, it doesnt matter though, all they want is you to sacrifice what you want.

Edit: Great movie

Try doing somethings you have done in the past dating ( assuming you are married )

It'll show you still remember , and most importantly show that you still think the same of her you always had.

Somewhat. I mean, you are tossing about an awful lot of advice to married people in here so I would like to know what you do in your long term, legally binding cohabitation. I think it is fair to understand where this wisdom is from.

That would be the best option I think. All joking aside I'm sure she would be ok with going to get the SW but suck it up and take her out instead anyway. They aren't going to disappear and it is her birthday.

I'm not sure why that appeals to me, but for some reason it leaves a strange yet pleasant feeling in my loins.

All kidding aside, my Girlfriend wanted anime for her birthday, so I bought her a season on DVD of one of her favorite series. Now it's October and she presents to me her Christmas list (Yea, this early). Guess what the dominant percentage of items on it are?

That's right. 40K kits. On account of I'm probably going to want to paint them for her anyway (She hates the painting part )

Liltat2chick wrote:Hi Guys, this is the wife in question. No, contrary to popular concensus, this is not a trap. Yes I do plan on guilting him into letting me play them, on occasion and seeing as how there is nothing I can think of that I want or need at the moment, nothing is going to make me happier than seeing my husband playing with his puppies! Besides, this gives me a giant ace in the hole towards the cruise I want to go on for X-mas!! My husband constantly puts himself to the side for myself and our children and asks for nothing in return, so this to me is very important, and, in fact, I would probably get mad at him if he didn't go get them! So to all of you naysayers, if you don't have a good reason, i.e.birthday, anniversary, etc. , to do for your wife, then do for her anyway - it just may pay off later! Happy Gaming!
