Because Logan does not have to be in play. His ability is not tied to the model, it says "you may choose one of the following special rules at the beginning of each turn", not "If Logan Grimnar is In Play, Alive or any other restriction you may choose one of the following special rules at the beginning of each turn". So even if he is dead or in reserves, at the start of the turn, you pick a rule. He and any unit he is with have that rule untill the end of the turn. Compare this to the Astropaths, where the ability is completely tied into the model, the model having to be alive to give the effect.

He is schrodingers wolf. Until the drop pod lands you have a long fangs pack that is both relentless and not relentless. Gwar-if he is dead how can he be with with a unit? Unless you mean as long as he was alive at the start of that turn.

Well he can't. But you can still pick a USR from the list which he will then have (which is pointless), and so will the unit he's with (which is zero).

The idea is that it takes extra effort and time to write properly, and they’d rather save the time. If you can still be understood, what’s the harm? While most of the time a sloppy post CAN be understood, the use of proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling is generally seen as respectable and desirable on most forums. It demonstrates an effort made to be understood, and to make your post an easy and pleasant read. By making this effort, you can often elicit more positive responses from the community, and instantly mark yourself as someone worth talking to.

Even if he is dead you are entitled to pick a special rule for him to grant the unit, of course, his being dead means he can't possibly be with a unit so nobody would benefit, but you are still entitled to pick a special rule, since it just says you can choose it "at the beginning of each turn", with no conditions attached.

Interceptor Drones can disembark at any point during the Sun Shark's move (even though models cannot normally disembark from Zooming Flyers).

I was under the impression a single model could be a unit...
According to the BRB definition of units... how is this wrong?

It's not, but a single dead model is not a unit....

It is still a unit, but a unit of Long Fangs, not Wolf Guard.
