Very mature DC. The black carapace isn't an actual carapace, it's a system of neural connector. beyond that I'm not going to discuss this, by the by kiddo the desire for intimacy is more than sexual aspect. At least I can be sure that rory agrees with me on that.

Predator destructor "Beserker"

Berserker was one of the first tanks built after the exodus from larenthos, commisioned from the need for fire support it fulfills all the roles of standard astarte's predators though its appearance is quite different. it like many of the chapter's vehicles was not built using STC's, but from a jury-rigged compilation severals military and civilian vehicles. the name berserker comes from the tendency of its machine spirit. The machine spirits of Storm brothers vehicles are encoded with the personalities of certain battle brothers of the chapter to better function with crew.

This predator was but from the sides the original rhinos and hand made templates of plasticard. The weapons are from the actual predator kit and are magnatized to the tank. it is decorated with it's hrud servitor crew, which will be the standard for all heavy support tanks excluding land raiders.

this particular predator is based off of the M3 grant tank

Thank you, I'm quite fond of it. I run Khan as my primary HQ, and their symbol is a lightning bolt. Fluff wise they don't know where they originate from, the chapter master is the only one who would have known, but he didn't ever bother to learn. when asked this is Captain Tylerion response, "We're not sure, the chapter master hasn't decided which one he likes best"

It's bulky and square because I based it on a very old bulky and square tank the M3 grant. The crew are hrud servitors.

In line with my chapter serfs, my chapter also has serfs technically proficient to aide the techmarines in the duties to the chapter. These serfs are known as Cyber-serfs, unlike the automatons of others chapters these serfs are still sentient. They are given bionic enhancements to work on machinary and computerized implants to interface with the machine spirits. these cyber serfs are all regular serfs who have agreed to go through this process for a variety of reasons; better pay, bionics to replace lost limbs, general interest, etc. One such case in the the Hrud (human ratlike underground dwellers) of hive gardennes. Hrud are regarded largely by the imperium as mutant abominations and are exterminated upon discovery. The Storm Brothers, impersonating ultramarines to con the hive for commodities were asked by the hive ruler to purge the underhive of the in return for a large amount of goods. The Storm Brothers being more open minded agreed, but instead of killing them brought aboard their ship. The offered the hrud a life of security aboard their space fortress in return for the service as cyber serfs. The hrud readily agreed and went through the process of bionic augmentationas well as cosmetic surgery to remove the rat like features.

Overall I like this a lot, it doesnt step on too many toes fluff wise, and although I wouldn't ever play a chapter like this, I really like custom chapters and written out fluff.

years back during 2nd edition I made my own chapter, The Genesis Legion, I even had a small book published (very very limited run, just for my friends and FLGS) a couple of years later GW made up some junk about their own "official" Genesis chapter, and I scrapped the entire project.

Keep it up, and I enjoy the idea of SOB sluts as allies and vain marines who are basically Heretics who have not been called out by the Inquisition.

So I decided i want to add a Thunderfire cannon to my army but I wasn't to keen on the model. One because i've heard the horror stories of assembling these, and two the model looks to "up to date" for my scavenger marines. I wanted something more old fashioned, i finally decided to go with a gun carriage style artillery piece (like the death korp artillery) so i picked up the hell volley gun from the fantasy line and used some plastic rod to make a weapon barrel. With some additional bits I kit bashed from my box, this is the end result.

I don't think the Hrud are remotely human. Most of the sources I've read depict them as small, hunched aliens that emit an entropy field, making anything nearby age rapidly. The Iron Warriors once killed off most of them [but apparently not all] back when the legion was loyalist.

It'd be especially dangerous for a chapter supposedly on contract with the Ordo Xenos to be caught consorting with, and even supporting, an alien race. As well, I'd think that most of them would be indoctrinated, even as a scout [or before that] to hate all xenos, and likely mutants as well.

Edit: Sorry to keep criticising, but what do you count the Autocannon on the command Razorback as? It looks quite beefy for a storm bolter.

They don't advertise that they are hrud, the surgeries are partially done to make the resemble ratling like ab-humans which they consider them to be). The storm bolter autocannon is simply a "More Dakka" aesthetic. Thank you for putting in you opinion, it helps me flesh out my written fluff.

I can't say I care for the thunderfire. It needs to be more gatling-gun-y.

They represent chapter serfs, they are, merely their for decoration.

maybe a multi-barreled artillery piece then. It just doesn't look like a thunderfire unless there's more than one barrel.

Maybe mount a couple autocannons on a thunderfire chassis.

I'm working on a second one right now, I'm going to do an organ gun style weapon with the same carriage base.

i was thinking maybe lighten the apothecary's armour. it come off as being very dark, maybe to much black wash. just a a high light would to it wonders.

I went back over it with another layer of thinned bleached bone, I don't want him to be too light.

So since I already mentioned him I decided to post some pics of my Khan counts as, Captain Skoald. He is one of the two co-captains of my sixth integration company, the company is charged with the assimilation of lone marines found stranded in space and on various planets.




I based my idea for him on a celt-warrior theme rather than white scars mongol warrior.

Terminator squad Mercaedo:

Sgt. Mercaedo, The sergeant of the Storm Brothers first terminator saquad. Formerly brother Vestin of the alpha legion, he was part of an independent team sent to infiltrate the chapter and gather intel. The other four members of the team died in an accident during travel through the warp. Vestin decided that the original plan no longer applied and his new life was among the chapter. The comfortable life they afforded seemed bearable enough, in time he could learn to enjoy it. His centuries of experience as a renegade (which he allowed to be misconstrued as natural ability)saw his rapid rise through the chapters ranks into the terminator elite and finalyl as a leader among them. The terminator squads of the Storm Brothers use a slightly different style of squad iconography, they identify themselves in two way. The wear either on heraldic shields or on their shoulder pauldrons, knightly coats of arms (various patterns). They also bear their nickname on their squad banner. Squad Mercaedo's banner has a Black J on a red background, it is short for their alias "The Jagannathas" (Juggernauts). The name was earned by them during their brutal quelling of the Treuliion planetary rebellion, when they teleported into the governor's stronghold and decapitated the traitor governor.

Ever since your chapter is so close to mine mind if i post my army history? jk. Your Army is very Close to my Chapter. My chapters Name is the Storm Crusaders. And we also have no idea who are founding legion was. We were discovered in the 2nd Founding. As with your head Chapter Master our chapter counicl only know which legion my chapter is descended from. I love your history add MORE! Its very good, but what is your current chapter master? Could you show us your orgianzation and tactics?

I designed the chapter this way so I can play with the different marine codices as well as show the diversity of the chapter's companies.

I like brother Morgan, you seem to have reached a good balance between shiny and washes on him. Keep it up, I really like the idea of incorporating renegades and sob's/inq in your chapter.

Not sure about the multiple codexes thing but if you pull it off it would be great!

The chapter organization roster has been updated with all the special characters names filled in.

Not totally liking the different codex usage. I just use themes. And i'm pretty sure it is illegial in game

I don't plan to use multiple codices in one list, just something so I play these different codices when i get bored of the one I'm using.

I know it's been a while, but have faith for I have been building and painting. Here is the newest addition to the chapter, Jump Chaplain Breuer.

Chaplain breuer is the chaplain of the Storm Brothers 8th veteran company. He often accompanies the assualt veterans of the chapter into battle, using his jump pack to quickly engage the enemy. He is known as "The Scribe" for in his large tome he records the greatests of the chapter's Deeds. He is second to the master of sanctity in his passionate ability to retell the stories in his tome.
